CABLE DRUM SUPPORT FOR ROTATABLY SUPPORTING A CABLE DRUM
The application relates to a cable drum support for rotatably supporting a cable drum, including a cross beam, on which two holding arms are arranged, which are aligned parallel to one another, wherein each holding arm has a respective laterally protruding and rotatably supported bearing pin on a free end, wherein the bearing pins are arranged aligned with one another on the holding arms so as to face one another and aligned parallel to the cross beam, and wherein at least one of the holding arms is shiftably supported along the cross beam. The cable drum support further including at least one actuatable actuator, which is formed to shift at least the one of the holding arms and/or to apply a torque to at least one bearing pin for rotating about its longitudinal central axis.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT TO CONTROL THE OPERATION OF A WOOD-HANDLING DEVICE IN A WORK MACHINE, AND A FOREST MACHINE
A method for controlling operation of a wood-handling device in a work machine. The wood-handling device is attached through a rotation device to an end of a set of booms of the work machine to create a desired orientation of the wood-handling device for the operation. The orientation of the wood-handling device using the rotation device is tied on the basis of the operation to be performed using the set of booms. The orientation of the wood-handling device is tied to the position of the end of the set of booms. The position of the end of the set of booms is defined while performing the operation, on the basis of the position of the end of the set of booms. The wood-handling device is oriented using the rotation device, according to the said tie.
Felling grapple for removing energized vegetation material
An insulating felling grapple is used with an insulating utility vehicle. The utility worker stands on the ground near the worksite and remotely controls the insulating felling grapple and the utility vehicle to perform the task. In addition to other standard trimming and removal tasks, the insulating felling grapple is adapted to allow for the removal of energized vegetation material. In one method, the utility worker grasps the energized vegetation material, lifts or moves the energized vegetation material such that it is no longer energized, severs the non-energized vegetation material, and moves the severed vegetation material to a discard location. A boom assembly of the utility vehicle includes a primary insulation segment. The felling grapple includes a secondary insulation segment, as well as a grapple and a feller. The grapple has at least two tines for gripping the energized material. The feller is configured to sever the energized or nonenergized material.

Material handler tower
A tower for a material handler includes a housing surrounding an interior space. The tower has an interior mounting system including a base plate through which a plurality of interior mount openings pass. The interior mount openings are located at positions of the base plate that are interior of the housing. In some embodiments, the tower is part of a material handler that also includes two stabilizers located on opposite sides of the tower, a platform located above the tower, and a boom projecting away from the platform.
Lifter and Method for Moving Traffic Barriers
A traffic barrier lifter mountable on a boom and having a gearbox with a first and a second rotating axis; a pair of opposing arms directly mounted to the first and second rotating axis and a rotator capable of rotating the lifter relative to the boom, wherein the gearbox is capable of moving the pair of opposing arms from an open position to a closed position such that the arms can clamp onto a traffic barrier. The rotator being capable of rotating the arms and traffic barrier relative to the boom.
Utility pole setting trailer
A utility pole setting trailer includes a horizontal frame configured to carry utility poles to remote locations, a set of wheels supporting the horizontal frame, a hydraulic boom coupled to the horizontal frame and configured to load and unload the utility poles on to the horizontal frame, and a motor coupled to the hydraulic boom and configured to power the hydraulic boom. The hydraulic boom includes a first arm and a second arm, and a grapple is coupled to a distal end of the second arm. The grapple is configured to grasp a respective utility pole. In addition, the horizontal frame includes a front portion and a rear portion that are configured to extend apart from each other to increase a length of the horizontal frame.
