Device for positioning the head of an animal and method of use thereof
20170156296 · 2017-06-08 ·

A device, system, or method to aid in conducting brain activity analysis on an animal. The device may include a headrest for receiving at least part of the head of the animal, and a tube connected to the headrest for passing a treat to the animal through the tube so the animal is trained to position his or her head on the headrest and to maintain his or her head on the headrest for the time it takes to carry out the brain activity analysis. The animal is trained by the treat being passed to the animal through the tube. The device may be used with a replica to further train the animal prior to the device being used with a machine that may carry out brain activity analysis. The device may allow for the presence of stimuli and distractions as part of the training of the animal.

Devices and methods for measuring parameters associated with animal eye health

The invention provides methods and devices for securing the head of an animal in position while obtaining objective measurements associated with eye health. In one aspect, the devices comprise a rest for receiving a portion of the animal's head and a pole configured to enable the rest to pivot about a first axis of rotation and rotate about a second axis of rotation perpendicular to the first axis of rotation. In an embodiment, the rest can move up and down the second axis of rotation.

Cattle hoof trimming chute

An animal restraining chute having a four sided cage with a closeable front and rear opening and two sides constructed from a series of ribs made from a single bent component to provide structural support. A partially closable front gate closes the front opening and restrains the head of the animal, and a curved rear pusher gate secures the hindquarters of an animal. A rotatable belly restraint pins the animal to one of the sides. The chute is rotatably mounted on a vehicle or platform to lay the animal on its side. The chute includes four hydraulic activated leg latches for securing the legs of the animal. There is a movably attached staging area located at the rear of the chute to allow for the positioning of animals waiting to enter the chute. Each of the movable components of the chute are hydraulically and remotely controlled.

FIXED BAND BELT SET FOR TREATING AND CARING FOR CAT
20250073011 · 2025-03-06 ·

The present invention relates to a fixed band belt set for treating and caring for a cat, with which a veterinarian can easily treat and care for a cat by preventing unexpected accidents occurring when the cat attacks the veterinarian with sharp claws or teeth or touches the equipment due to the cat's mental anxiety during the treatment or care of the cat. The fixed band belt set includes a waist fixed band belt (100) in which a belt body portion (110) having soft hook-and-loop fastener loops (112) formed on one end portion of an outer side thereof and a band winding part (120) having rough hook-and-loop fastener hooks (122) formed on an inner side thereof are integrally formed, two sheets of outer cover fabrics are bonded and sewn, a cut cylindrical plastic prosthesis is inserted between the outer cover fabrics of the belt body portion (110), and a portion of the belt body portion (110) in which the belt body portion (110) and the band winding part (120) of the waist fixed band belt (100) are connected is formed in a shape in which a width is reduced.

SWINE VACCINATION SYSTEM
20170014213 · 2017-01-19 ·

A system for vaccinating swine according to one embodiment includes a housing having an open first end and an open opposite second end. The housing has a pair of side walls that are angled and non-parallel to one another such that at the second end only a single piglet can exit at one time. The system also includes a vaccination station for individually vaccinating piglets. The vaccination station is located between the pair of side walls in a region thereof that is sized to only permit one piglet to stand between the side walls. The vaccination station includes at least one sensor that detects the presence of the one piglet within the vaccination station and at least one spray nozzle positioned within the vaccination station such that a vaccine dose discharged therefrom is directed upwardly into facial areas of the piglet effectively.

ANIMAL POSITIONING AND MONITORING SYSTEM FOR MICROSCOPY

A system for positioning and monitoring an animal during microscopy may include a base supporting the animal, a head holder attached to the base and securing the animal's head, a body holder attached to the base and restraining the animal's body, at least one sensor measuring a physiological parameter of the animal, and a controller receiving and processing data from the at least one sensor. The base may comprise a scissor lifting jack for height adjustment. The head holder may include a ball joint for angular adjustment. The body holder may comprise a swaddle. Sensors may include an accelerometer to detect motion and a thermocouple to measure cranial window temperature. The system may also include a camera to capture images during microscopy.

PASSIVE VOLUNTARY POSITIONING OF ANIMAL FOR MICROSCOPY
20250177108 · 2025-06-05 ·

A coupling apparatus passively positions a portion of an animal relative to an experimental apparatus. The coupling apparatus includes: an animal plate fixed to the animal portion, the animal plate including a plurality of first elements; and a mounting stage fixed relative to the experimental apparatus. The mounting stage includes a wall structure defining an animal opening large enough to accommodate the animal portion and a plate opening sized to accommodate the animal plate, the wall structure including a plurality of second elements. When the animal portion travels though the animal opening, the animal plate is passively guided through the plate opening until each first element is passively coupled with a respective second element such that the animal plate and the mounting stage are mechanically and passively coupled together to form a kinematic mount.
