Crane Load Location Warning System
20170233229 · 2017-08-17 ·

A method of alerting a person to the proximity of a load being carried by a crane includes generating a trigger signal from a crane operator station when a load being carried by a crane is in proximity to a person. A wireless alarm signal is transmitted from a transmitter in response to the trigger signal. The wireless alarm signal is received by a receiver in wireless communication with the transmitter. An alarm from an alarm device is created in response to receiving the wireless alarm signal by the receiver. The alarm device is suspended from a load line that carries the load to be in proximity with the load.

Low-power wire rope safety diagnosis method and system

A low-power wire rope safety diagnosis method and a system thereof are provided. Since a sensor should be continuously turned on to allow a plurality of sensor nodes to diagnose safety of a wire rope in real time and it consumes much power, there is provided a method and system which can perform the safety diagnosis only when a movement is detected while being in a standby mode to reduce the power consumption, and determine a defect more correctly and consistently by utilizing deep learning when defects are determined through a wire rope safety diagnosis.

Remote sling release for crane
09725284 · 2017-08-08 ·

An improved remote sling release for a crane has a main plate member including an access hole for attaching a main crane hoisting line therethrough, a hook portion located at an opposite end from the access hole and adapted to selectively hold securely or release sling members thereon. Two sling ejector plate members connected to one another such that the ejector plate members are pivotally attached to the main plate member, wherein each of the sling ejector plate member has a sling notch therein adapted to receive the sling members of a hoist pallet therein. A sling access handle member attached to at least one of the sling ejector plate members and used to manually rotate the ejector plate members from an open position for receiving the sling members therein and into a closed position, wherein the sling member are locked upon the hook portion of the main plate member. A remotely controlled solenoid mechanism attached to the main plate member and adapted to unlock the locking mechanism, and a first traction spring member adapted to bias the ejector plate members into the open position and force the sling members off of the hook portion. A remote control mechanism adapted to remotely activate the solenoid mechanism, to force the sling members off of the hook portion.

Three dimensional animation of a past event

Methods and systems are disclosed for rendering a three dimensional animation of a past event. A request is received, at a processor, for re-creation of a past event associated with a job site. Input data is accessed, at the processor, regarding the past even associated with the job site wherein the input data pertains to past movements and lifts of at least one lifting device associated with the job site. A three dimensional (3D) animation is generated, at the processor, of the past event involving the past movements of the at least one lifting device. The 3D animation is displayed, on a display, depicting the past event wherein the displaying comprises playback controls for controlling the displaying.

Lift control systems for lifting devices and lifting devices comprising the same

According to embodiments, an overhead lift includes a lift actuator; and a control system communicatively coupled to the lift actuator. The control system may include a control unit comprising a processor with a memory communicatively coupled to the processor and having computer readable and executable instructions and at least one transceiver communicatively coupling the control unit to at least one of a computer, a network, and a data storage device. The processor executes the computer readable and executable instructions to: determine at least one operating characteristic of the overhead lift and an operating time of the overhead lift as the overhead lift is actuated; determine an accumulated load-time parameter for the overhead lift based on the at least one operating characteristic and the operating time; and upload the accumulated load-time parameter to at least one of the computer, the network, and the data storage device.
