Open column jib crane
A jib crane that includes an open column having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end that is adapted to operably engage with a ground surface. The jib crane also includes at least one interior space collectively defined by the open column between the first end and the second end. The jib crane also includes a crane beam operably engaged with the open column at the second end of the open column. The jib crane also includes a bearing assembly operably engaged with the crane beam and the open column, and the bearing assembly has at least one bearing positioned inside of the at least one interior space defined by the open column.
ROTARY CRANE AND METHOD FOR ROTARY CRANE
A rotary crane including a vertical axis; an jib that extends from the vertical axis; a drive for rotating the jib about the vertical axis; a condition monitoring which determines wind loading, namely internal force variables, tensions, strains, transverse forces, tilting and torsion torques of the rotary crane; and a computing unit which computes a preferred direction for locking the jib from the wind loading. The invention also relates to a method for orienting the rotary crane. In order to improve the orientation of the jib of a shut down rotary crane it is proposed that the rotary crane includes measuring elements for capturing local measuring local values of the wind loading.
CRANE TOWER
The present invention relates to a crane tower comprising a crane tower base, which has a crane tower or a crane tower element fixed thereto and from which the crane tower extends upwards, and a tension element for bracing the crane tower 1 on the crane tower base. The tension element has one of its two ends connected to the crane tower base and its respective other end connected to the crane tower or to a coupling element that is connected to the crane tower. The crane tower is characterized in that the tension element extends outside of the crane tower. It is thus possible to reduce the dimensions of the crane tower without causing any change of bending resistance or to increase the bending resistance on the basis of the same dimensions.

JIB CRANE CART ASSEMBLY
A jib crane cart assembly including a platform having a proximal surface and a distal surface, the platform having a reinforcement structure between the proximal surface and the distal surface, a pair of masts extending from the proximal surface of the platform, each of the masts having a jib arm moveably secured thereto, and a set of wheels secured to the platform, wherein the set of wheels are arranged for a cart track of a coke oven battery.
Systems and methods for detecting rescue hoist loads
A boom assembly for a hoist may include a flat surface configured to elastically deform in response to a load on the hoist, and a strain sensor coupled to the flat surface and configured to generate an electronic signal.
Load transfer accessory for diminishing unwanted motion of cylindrical cargo during loading operations
A load transfer accessory for a loading apparatus such as a crane. The load transfer accessory is a holding mechanism that reduces unwanted movement in cylindrical cargos. The holding mechanism includes an attachment frame, a receiving member and an indexing clutch. The receiving member includes a curved surface for receiving the cylindrical cargo. The indexing clutch can be adjustably locked by wire rope tension to clock the receiving member in a desired angular orientation for loading operations.

TOWER CRANE, METHOD AND CONTROL UNIT FOR OPERATING A TOWER CRANE, TROLLEY AND TROLLEY TRAVEL UNIT
A tower crane has a control unit which operates a rotating mechanism, a hoisting mechanism, and a trolley in dependence on at least one angle of rotation, in dependence on at least one first angle of deflection, in dependence on the at least one second angle of deflection, and in dependence on a difference in angle of rotation.
Transport system for vertically transporting goods and persons on an above ground construction site
The invention relates to a transport system for vertically transporting goods and persons on an above-ground construction site, comprising a stewing tower crane (40, 300) and at least one construction elevator (10), wherein the stewing tower crane and the at least one construction elevator have shared anchoring (12) and are anchored or can be anchored jointly to a structure (30) by means of said anchoring.
