Crane, and method for controlling such a crane

The present invention relates to a crane, in particular to a revolving tower crane, having a load suspension means attached to a hoist rope, drive devices for moving a plurality of crane elements and for traveling the load suspension means, a control apparatus for controlling the drive devices such that the load suspension means travels along a travel path, and an oscillation damping device for damping oscillation movements of the load suspension means, wherein said oscillation damping device has a control module for influencing the control of the drive devices in dependence on oscillation-relevant criteria. It is proposed not only to take account of the actual oscillation movement of the rope per se in the oscillation damping measures, but also the dynamics of the steel construction of the crane and its drivetrains.

A tower crane under safety management and control includes a cargo boom, a spool and a pulley located on the cargo boom, a motor coupled to the spool, a hook, a 3D camera module, and a controller coupled to the 3D camera module and the motor. A tow rope of the spool rolls around the pulley and connects the hook. The 3D camera module includes a first camera facing the hook and a second camera back to the hook. The first and second cameras respectively take images, in real time. The controller obtains the images taken by the first camera when lifting a load downwards, obtains the images taken by the second camera when lifting the load upwards, detects whether there are obstacles within the images; and controls the motor reducing working speed or stopping working when there is an obstacle within the images.

A pipe lifting apparatus and method related thereto are provided, wherein the pipe has a base with outriggers, a vertically extending beam having a pulley at its upper end and a cable attached to a winch and extending over the pulley. The pulley and winch are oriented so that the cable extends naturally in line with a vertex between two of the outriggers such that, when a pipe in a vertical sleeve is attached to the distal end and is lifted by the cable, the pipe passes adjacent to the vertex. The apparatus is configured to raise pipes from a vertical pipe sleeve used in floating roofs of above-ground storage tanks. The apparatus can be used to raise and lower pipes and to move them around the upper surface of the floating roof of the tanks

A HOIST MECHANISM AND A STEPLESS ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM

The invention relates to a hoist mechanism (20) intended primarily, but not exclusively, for moving a motor driven wheelchair or scooter into and/or out of the load carrying space of a vehicle. The hoist mechanism (20) comprises a lifting arm having, at least in part, a generally U-shaped cross section, and an actuator (28). A mounting point (56) for the actuator (28) is provided within the generally U-shaped cross section. The invention also relates to a stepless adjustment system suitable for use in such a hoist mechanism (20). The adjustment system comprises an inner section (34) received within an outer section (24) in a telescoping arrangement.
