EXTENDABLE BOOM WITH A LOCKING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN EXTENDABLE BOOM OF A CRANE
Telescopic lattice type crane boom for a crane, further comprising a locking system configured to lock at least one telescopic boom section with respect to a base boom section in at least an extended position, wherein said locking system includes a plurality of pins, each pin being configured to extend, in at least the extended position of the boom, at least partly through a corresponding pin receiving aperture provided in one of the base boom section and the at least one telescopic boom section.
Portable davit
Embodiments of the present invention are generally directed to davits for raising, lowering, and transporting loads. In general, davits described herein are portable and are capable of attaching to various mounting locations. The portable davit 100 includes a base mount 102 and an intermediate mount 104 for mounting the portable davit 100 to a mounting location. The base mount 102 and the intermediate mount 104 are couplable to a mast 106 for supporting the portable davit 100 when generally carrying a load L. The portable davit 100 also includes a jib 108 hingedly coupled to the mast 106 through a coupling 118. The jib 108 is configured to rotate about the coupling 118 such that the jib 108 is positionable at a lifting angle 120.
Crane
The present invention relates to a crane, in particular in the form of a revolving tower crane, having a jib (3) and a counter-jib (4), which are articulated on a jib articulation piece (8), wherein the jib (3) comprises an outer jib part (3a), which is articulated on an inner jib part (3i) in a hinged manner and is held by a guy (10). According to the invention, the inner jib part (3i) is in the form of a cantilever, which is fastened to the jib articulation piece (8) in a flexurally rigid manner and held, wherein the outer jib part (3a) is articulated on the cantilever in a hinged manner and is held by the guy (10).

IBC installation/manipulation tool for stacked rail containers
A tool for installing and removing an interbox connector into and from a corner fitting of a cargo container positioned on a rail car. The tool includes support structure configured to releasably engage the opening in the upper locking cone of the connector whereby the connector can be delivered to or removed from the corner fitting without the need for the operator to climb onto the rail car.
Davit
The invention provides a davit with a number of useful features. A jib of the davit can be made with an overload indicator, which provides a straightforward, visible mechanism to ascertain whether the davit is fit for use following an overload condition. The jib can be made collapsible with telescoping sections, at least one of the sections having a plurality of flats to allow easy connection with other components of the davit, such as the lifting head. A single bearing can be used to rotatably couple the davit to the shaft, or king post, with a plurality of different-spaced bores to account for different diameters of shaft. Either or both of these improvements allow the davit to be manufactured easily and erected easily by users.
PORTABLE DERRICK SYSTEM, APPARATUS & METHODS
A portable derrick system for use in hoisting and lowering loads at a plurality of job sites, comprising, in combination: a boom subassembly, a boom head subassembly, a mast support subassembly, a mast head subassembly, a load-carrying line, a winch capable of cooperating with said line, power means for driving the winch, means for pivoting the boom assembly, means for controlling said pivoting means, the foregoing elements of the invention capable of being transported by humans to elevated positions such as, without limitation, rooftops and terraces, and wherein the aforementioned are capable of repeated assembly and disassembly at a plurality of job sites and serving to facilitate the elimination of the need for a street-level crane.
Rigging Lift and Method of Use
A method of constructing a structure in which an item is to be installed at an elevated height on the structure. Hoists are hung from the structure. A platform is moved from ground level and positioned at a first elevated position between ground level and the hoists. The platform is attached to the hoists at the first elevated position. After the platform has been attached to the hoists, the item is moved onto the platform. The item is lifted on the platform to a second elevated position for installation at the elevated height on the structure and the item is installed at the elevated height.
Crane, and Method for Controlling Such a Crane
The present invention relates to a crane, in particular to a revolving tower crane, having a load suspension means attached to a hoist rope, drive devices for moving a plurality of crane elements and for traveling the load suspension means, a control apparatus for controlling the drive devices such that the load suspension means travels along a travel path, and an oscillation damping device for damping oscillation movements of the load suspension means, wherein said oscillation damping device has a control module for influencing the control of the drive devices in dependence on oscillation-relevant criteria. It is proposed not only to take account of the actual oscillation movement of the rope per se in the oscillation damping measures, but also the dynamics of the steel construction of the crane and its drivetrains.
Hybrid crane
A knuckle boom crane at least comprising: a pedestal; a tower 2 arranged on top of the pedestal; an operator cabin 4 fixed to the tower 2; a machine house 3; a winch 5 with a wire 6 positioned at an upper end of the tower 2 so that the upper rim of the reel of the winch 5 protrudes above the top of the tower 2; or an alternative wire routing with a winch with a wire arranged external to the crane where the wire is fed to a first sheave arranged at an upper end of the tower 2 so that the upper rim of the sheave protrudes above the top of the tower 2; a main boom 14 which is at its first end is pivotally connected to the tower 2 at its second end the main boom 14 is pivotally connected with a first end of a knuckle boom 12, the second end of the knuckle boom is provided with at least one second sheave 10, where the main boom 14 is provided with an aperture 7 proximate to its first end.
