PERSONAL SAFETY AND FALL PROTECTION SYSTEMS
A personal safety system for lifting material or supporting person therefrom includes a base and a mast rotatably coupled to the base. The mast has a plurality of mast sections that telescope relative to each other along an axis such that the mast is movable into and between a lowered configuration and an extended configuration. A jib is coupled to the mast and a cable is coupled to the jib such that a cable is configured to couple to the material or the person such that the system is capable of lifting the material or supporting the person. An attachment device coupled to the base is configured to permit a vehicle to couple to the system via the attachment device.
ANTI-SWAY CRANE CONTROL METHOD WITH A THIRD-ORDER FILTER
A method for controlling displacement of a load suspended to a point of attachment of a lifting machine includes an acquisition step during which a piloting setpoint is acquired and which is representative of the displacement speed that the operator wishes to confer on the suspended load, a processing step during which a setpoint called execution setpoint, which is applied to a drive motor in order to displace the suspended load, is elaborated from the piloting setpoint, the processing step including a C.sup.3 smoothing substep by third-order filtering during which a third-order filter is applied to the piloting setpoint in order to generate a filtered piloting setpoint of smoothness class C.sup.3, and the execution setpoint is defined from the filtered piloting setpoint.
PORTABLE DERRICK SYSTEM, APPARATUS & METHODS
A portable derrick system for use in hoisting and lowering loads at a plurality of job sites, comprising, in combination: a boom subassembly, a boom head subassembly, a mast support subassembly, a mast head subassembly, a load-carrying line, a winch capable of cooperating with said line, power means for driving the winch, means for pivoting the boom assembly, means for controlling said pivoting means, the foregoing elements of the invention capable of being transported by humans to elevated positions such as, without limitation, rooftops and terraces, and wherein the aforementioned are capable of repeated assembly and disassembly at a plurality of job sites and serving to facilitate the elimination of the need for a street-level crane.
Davit with multi-tool attachment
A davit comprising a column which is mountable for rotation about a generally upright axis and a jib, the jib being attached to the column, characterised in that the column is provided, on a first side thereof, with ribs defining a first channel.
Davit with multi-tool attachment
A davit comprising a column which is mountable for rotation about a generally upright axis and a jib, the jib being attached to the column, characterised in that the column is provided, on a first side thereof, with ribs defining a first channel.
Height safety davit with fail-safe mechanism
A davit (10) for arresting the fall of a person working at heights or for material handling where lifting of overloaded material is prevented, has a mast (12), a fuse holder (14) at the top of mast, a fuse head (16) connected to the fuse holder and having sacrificial fuses (18) arranged in series thereon, a jib arm (20) connected to the fuse head, and a primary fall arrestor system (22) having an arresting load limit and mounted to a side of the mast if the davit is to be used for arresting the fall of a person (25) working at heights, and/or a primary lifting-overload prevention system having a working load limit and safety factors if the davit is to be used for material handling where lifting of overloaded material (78) is to be prevented. When excessive forces are being absorbed either by the primary fall arrestor system or by the primary lifting-overload prevention system, the fuse head rotates downwardly relative to the fuse holder, and causes the breaking of one or progressively more of the sacrificial fuses until enough fuses have been broken to absorb the excessive forces.
Systems and methods for detecting rescue hoist loads
A boom assembly for a hoist may include a flat surface configured to elastically deform in response to a load on the hoist, and a strain sensor coupled to the flat surface and configured to generate an electronic signal.
Rope hoisting system
Various hoisting systems having an assembly for gripping a hoisting line are provided. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a hoisting system having a plurality of sheaves and a chain reeved about the plurality of sheaves. The chain includes links having clamps for selectively gripping a hoisting line. The hoisting system also includes a closing track having a travel path for the clamps of the links of the chain. This travel path includes an opening between two opposing surfaces and at least a portion of the opening has a width between the two opposing surfaces narrower than the widths of the clamps, when open, such that, when the links pass along the travel path of the closing track, the two opposing surfaces cause the clamps to close about the hoisting line. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.
LIFTING DEVICE
A lifting device, configured to attach to a lifting head and sling to move a disabled person from one location to another including a support column, a first arm, a second arm, and a friction brake. The support column includes an axis and is configured to attach between two stationary surfaces. The first arm is fixedly connected to the support column. The second arm is pivotally connected to the first arm at a pivot joint. The second arm is configured to connect to the lifting head. The support column and first arm are configured to rotate around the axis, and the second arm is configured to pivot around the pivot joint such that the second arm second end rotates three hundred and sixty degrees around the axis.
LIFTING DEVICE ON A LORRY
A lifting device on a heavy goods vehicle is described, for lifting and emptying waste collection containers, having a telescopically extensible boom, which has a coupling tool for coupling to a waste collection container. An extensible support is attached on a rotating platform and has at least one interleaved, telescopically extensible profile, wherein the boom is provided at the upper end of the support with a pivot element between boom and support, so that the boom is pivotable in a vertical plane about a pivot axis. The extensible profile is designed as an internal runner having a fixed tube and runners having a polygonal footprint, and a carrier head is provided at the end of the support, which is formed as L-shaped having an overhanging carrier plate in relation to the support, which carrier plate has the pivot axis of the boom and a support for the pivot element.
