Large mobile crane

A large mobile crane including an undercarriage. The undercarriage includes a middle section between tracks, wherein a distance between the tracks can be increased or decreased by the insertion or removal of expansion parts. The two tracks are connected on opposite sides of the undercarriage to permit movement of the large mobile crane. The undercarriage also includes a drive unit, a superstructure, one or more control stations, at least two main booms, at least one derrick boom, and at least two lifting devices and counterweights. The counterweights are either arranged separately of or mounted on the undercarriage. The large mobile crane further includes a circular track, and support rollers attached to the superstructure, wherein the support rollers ride on the circular track, and wherein the circular track is an integral part of the expansion parts.

Crane having effectively coincident gantry and boom forces upon an upperstructure

A crane includes a base, an upperstructure rotationally mounted on the base, a boom pivotally mounted to the upperstructure at a front attachment location and having a distal end supporting a load line for raising a payload, and a gantry mounted on the upperstructure and supporting a boom line coupled to the distal end of the boom. The gantry includes at least one front leg mechanically coupled to the front attachment location and inclined in a direction away from the boom to apply, to the front attachment location, a horizontal force component towards the boom that is opposed by a horizontal force component applied by the boom towards the front leg. The upperstructure includes a circular turret, and the front attachment location is aligned over a circle of the turret.

Pipe-laying vehicle with rotator platform leveling system

A self-propelled vehicle used to lay pipe sections within trenches located on sloped terrain, and a method for using it, including: an undercarriage carrying a vehicle chassis and capable of climbing sloped terrain; a rotating platform which can be maintained level relative to the sloped terrain; and a boom with an angled boom head, capable of using two independent winch cables to lift and position individual pipe sections having differing lengths and diameters. The vehicle may be used to sequentially lift two or more pipe sections, one at a time, and to swing and position the pipe sections in a trench, end-to-end.

SUPPORTING STRUCTURE FOR A CRANE, AND CRANE THEREWITH
20190039864 · 2019-02-07 ·

The invention relates to a supporting structure for a crane, in particular for a framework construction of a mast or crane girder, in particular a jib, or for a bracing construction of the crane, wherein the supporting structure comprises a first supporting element and a second supporting element connected to the first supporting element, wherein the second supporting element is produced from a fibre composite material, in particular CFP or GFP. In order to provide an improved supporting structure for a crane, it is proposed that the first supporting element is connected to the second supporting element via a connecting element which has projections which, for fastening to the second supporting element, project into the fibre composite material of the second supporting element, with the result that the connecting element is connected to the second supporting element in a form-fitting manner. The invention also relates to a crane having a correspondingly improved supporting structure.

LIFTING UNIT, LUFFING JIB CRANE COMPRISING SUCH A LIFTING UNIT AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING SUCH A CRANE

A lifting unit includes a jib foot forming a proximal part of a jib in a service configuration, a counter jib supporting a balancing ballast, a securing part between the jib foot and the counter jib to secure the lifting unit to a mast, and a cylinder connected to the jib foot such that the jib foot is movable between a lowered position and a lifted position. A second cylinder is connected to the securing part.
