PORT CRANE
20170066632 · 2017-03-09 ·

A port crane, such as a mobile port crane, comprising an undercarriage and a superstructure that is attached onto the undercarriage, such as in a rotatable manner. The undercarriage has a modular design such that the undercarriage can be connected to different chassis via modular adapter components in a selective manner so that the selected chassis on the undercarriage is designed as a conventional undercarriage chassis. The undercarriage can alternatively be connected to different chassis via modular adapter components in a selective manner such that the selected chassis on the undercarriage is designed as a port chassis.

A method is provided for controlling an operation of a mobile crane, the operation including a user input, the user input including a command to change a configuration of the mobile crane. The method includes determining a current tipping moment of the mobile crane, the tipping moment including a moment about a tipping line of the mobile crane, predicting an effect of the user input on the tipping moment of the mobile crane, and if the predicted effect of the user input is to increase the tipping moment of the mobile crane past a predetermined amount, altering a response to the user input. A system for controlling an operation of a mobile crane, and a user display system for a mobile crane are also provided.

Large-scale tool hoisting device for offshore electric power construction

A large-scale tool hoisting device for offshore electric power construction is provided. A steel cable retracted to winches is dried using the heat in the operating cabin, thereby preventing the steel cable from being in a wet state for a long time and being corroded by seawater. For different loads at the terminal of the steel cable, a transmission ratio between a drive wheel and a control wheel is changed through the sliding of the drive wheel. Without changing the rotational speed of the drive motor, the moving speed of the steel cable is effectively and correspondingly improved by reducing the pulling force of the steel cable, or a large pulling force can be provided for the steel cable by reducing the moving speed of the steel cable. The transmission ratio can be changed in the hoisting process.

System and method for reconfiguring a truck body

A method for reconfiguring a truck body that includes selecting a truck with a cab section and two original frame rails extending from beneath the cab section and rearwardly to a distal first and second end. The truck body also includes an axle with a differential. The truck body also includes a drive shaft with a first end and a second end, the first end of the driveshaft operably connected to an output shaft of a transmission, the drive shaft extending rearwardly for operable engagement of the second end with the differential. Next, the drive shaft and axle are disconnected and the two frame rails are severed proximate the cab section resulting in new first and second distal ends for the frame rails and an operable unit supported by a support frame is secured to the new distal ends of the frame rails.

TOWER HOIST, PLATFORM AND DAVIT SYSTEM

Hoists, platforms and davits are described as well as methods of securing same to telecommunication and other towers. The hoists, platforms and davits may be secured to the towers on a temporary basis using clamps. The clamps may include brackets and cables. The cables may be attached to the brackets, may wrap around the outer surface/perimeter of the tower pole/leg and may use tension to keep the bracket in place.

Crane

A crane includes a lower traveling body, an upper turning body that is turnably provided on the lower traveling body, a counterweight that is mounted on the upper turning body, and a ladder for getting on and off the upper turning body. The ladder has an engagement member that is able to be engaged with and disengaged from an engaged portion provided at the upper turning body, a support portion that supports the engagement member, and a following mechanism that is interposed between the engagement member and the support portion. When the engaged portion in a state of being engaged with the engagement member is moved downward with work of mounting the counterweight, the following mechanism causes the engagement member to follow downward movement of the engaged portion.
