Winch apparatus and method of use thereof
A winch apparatus includes a frame; a support coupler mounted to the frame at a support end; an axle mounted to the frame; a sensor connected to the axle, detecting strain in the axle, and outputting a corresponding signal; a spool rotatably disposed around the axle and including a ratchet wheel and a receiving surface; an elongate flexible member received on the receiving surface and secured to the spool; a handle to actuate the spool and increase tension on the elongate flexible member and including a grip end and a mounting end rotatably mounted to the frame; and a pawl mounted to the handle and positioned to actuate the ratchet wheel.

Securing strap having at least one strap securing interface
A securing strap having at least two strap securing interfaces that functions in combination with a ratcheting device. The strap has a first end, a second end, an inner surface, an outer surface, an upper edge, and a lower edge. The first end of the strap is looped around a strap attachment rod on the ratcheting device and extends back over a section of the strap allowing the two strap sections to be attached. At intervals along the two attached strap sections, attachment means are used to create openings, into which the at least two strap securing intervals and at least one strap securing member are inserted when securing an object. Once the strap is inserted through the ratcheting device, the two securing interfaces and the at least one securing member, the strap remains in place securing the object even if the ratcheting device fails.
Pulley device
The pulley device comprises first and second pulleys each provided with a set of sheaves. The two pulleys are designed to be respectively fixed to a fixed point and to a person to be rescued. A rope is fixed to one of the two pulleys and arranged in such a way that the first pulley moves towards the second pulley when a pull is exerted on the rope. An enclosure connects the first pulley to the second pulley and surrounds the path of the rope between the two pulleys. One end of the rope extends outwards from the enclosure to enable a pull to be exerted on the end of the rope.

Come along device
Provided is an improved come along device with a handle, a release trigger for a stop pawl, and a push tab for a release pawl. The handle may allow an operator to better grasp the come along device. The release trigger allows an operator to release tension in a cable by disengaging the stop pawl when the trigger is pulled and engaging the stop pawl when the trigger is released. The push tab allows an operator to disengage the release pawl when the push tab is pressed and engage the release pawl when the push tab is pulled.

A DEVICE FOR LIFTING AND TRANSPORTING SHEET MATERIAL
A device for lifting and transporting sheet material includes a base portion; wheels on which the base portion is supported; a mast that extends upwardly from the base portion; a boom that extends from a first end outwardly from the mast to a second end; a supporting head that is configured to support sheet material; and a pivot coupling at the second end of the boom. The pivot coupling is arranged to couple the supporting head to the boom, and enable the supporting head to be rotated about a pivot axis between a first position in which sheet material supported by the supporting head is in a generally transverse orientation relative to the boom, and a second position in which the angle between sheet material supported by the supporting head and the boom is reduced.
