PORTABLE WINCH
20230100802 · 2023-03-30 ·

A portable winch and method of use is shown. One advantage of winches shown includes an ability to lower a boom or boom sections into limited access exit pit for winching operations such as pipe bursting. Sectional boom designs shown provide the ability to easily raise and lower a boom large distances without the need for a single long boom. Selected winch designs shown include flexible inserts between the boom and the winch frame that help resist damage from unforeseen shifting of the device during operation. Designs and methods shown also include multiple pulleys on a boom end unit. Fasteners are shown that reduce build up of debris.

Lifter

A lifter is disclosed. The disclosed lifter comprises: a frame; a motor part coupled to the frame; a drum rotatably coupled to the motor part and including a plurality of winding parts formed at regular intervals along the rotary shaft direction; and a plurality of wires coupled to be wound on the plurality of winding parts, respectively. Ends of the plurality of wires at one side thereof may be connected to the plurality of winding parts, respectively, and other ends of the plurality of wires may be detachably fixed to a ceiling.

ROPE DRIVER, PORTABLE DEVICE FOR DRIVING A ROPE COMPRISING A ROPE DRIVER, KIT, METHOD AND USE
20230087633 · 2023-03-23 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a portable device for hoisting/lowering/storing a rope from a tall structure, such as a wind turbine. The device is formed of an assembly of a rope storage container and a rope driver reversibly connected thereto. The rope storage container defines a rope storage volume bound between a bottom surface and an outer side wall. The rope driver is reversibly connectable to the container and comprises a rope passage having a dimension matching a diameter of the rope. The passage is formed between a pair of adjacent rollers or between a drive coil and a clamp. The rope is driven (hoisted and stored or provided and lowered) by an electric motor arranged to drive at least one of the rollers or the drive coil.

SPRING-ASSISTED ROTARY ACTUATOR

The present disclosure may be embodied as a rotary actuator for lifting a load against gravity. The actuator includes a housing and a drive motor attached to the housing. The drive motor has a drive shaft. The drive shaft may be configured to be manually operated. A rotatable output shaft is attached to the housing and in mechanical communication with drive shaft. The actuator includes at least one spring which is configured to act on the output shaft to at least partially offset a weight of the load. The at least one spring may be a torsion spring. The at least one spring may be configured to unwind when the motor is driven to lift the load, and may be configured to be wound when the motor is driven to lower the load. The at least one spring may comprise a plurality of springs, such as torsion springs.

Lifting aid for attic ladder system

A lifting aid for an attic ladder includes a track system having a plurality of attachment means configured to secure about a corresponding number of attic ladder rungs. A hand winch is secured to the base of the device and is in mechanical operation with a tray which runs up and down the attic ladder to which the track system is secured.

Wire rope, sheave and drum

An object of the present invention is to further improve upon the strength and durability of a wire rope. A wire rope has a core rope made of steel; a covering layer, which is made of a composite resin, covering the outer peripheral surface of the core rope; and multiple side strands, which are made of steel, wound on the outer peripheral surface of the core rope covered with the covering layer. The composite resin constituting the covering layer is obtained by blending cellulose nanofibers with polypropylene serving as a matrix.
