DETERMINING AN INTIMATE ACTIVITY BY A DETECTION DEVICE
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for determining an intimate activity has occurred based on data collected with a radar detection device. Data relating to sleep patterns, such as of a sleep study participant, may be collected with a radar detection device in close proximity to a bed or other reference point. The data may be processed to determine occurrence of intimate activities, based on detected movements and/or positions of body profiles relative to each other and/or to a common reference point. The data corresponding to intimate activities may therefore be appropriately processed, such as by being excluded from the sleep record data to provide privacy to a user.
Animal Condition Indication Assembly
An animal condition indication assembly includes a panel with a plurality of layers. The panel includes a first edge, a second edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The layers include an adhesive to be attached to a first animal. A substrate has an upper surface and a lower surface and the adhesive is positioned on the lower surface to adhesively secure the substrate to a rump of the first animal. An intermediate layer is positioned on the upper surface and includes a first color permanently affixed to the substrate. The first color is UV fluorescent. A flood coat is removably positioned on and covers the intermediate layer. Portions of the flood coat are removed by a second animal upon mounting of the first animal by the second animal. The flood coat is opaque and has a different color than the intermediate layer.
MOUNTING BEHAVIOR DETECTION SYSTEM
Mounting behavior is detected easily. A mounting behavior detection system includes a mounting-side apparatus, a mounted-side apparatus, and a charging apparatus. The mounting-side apparatus is attached to the neck or the chin of a first domestic animal, is configured to emit a transmission signal, and includes a battery. The mounted-side apparatus is attached at any position from the back to the tail of a second domestic animal and is configured to transmit a response signal in response to the transmission signal. The charging apparatus is configured to transmit power wirelessly to the battery.
System and method for health monitoring using real-time location
A method for health monitoring comprises electronically receiving location information for a dairy livestock that is generated by a plurality of identification devices positioned in a pen that operate in conjunction with a tag worn by the dairy livestock. The method stores the location information associated with the dairy livestock, the location information comprising a location of the dairy livestock within the pen at each of a plurality of times during a first time period. The method determines, based on at least a portion of the stored location information, a turn index parameter indicating a number of times the particular dairy livestock reverses direction during the first time period. The method determines whether the particular dairy livestock is likely to be in estrus based at least in part upon whether the determined turn index parameter is in excess of a baseline turn index parameter by more than a predefined amount.
Mating Sensor Device for Livestock
A device and method detects the orientation of a copulating livestock to indicate when the copulating livestock is mounted over a recipient livestock. A mounting base attaches the device over the dorsal spine and in the middle line of the back of the copulating livestock. The copulating livestock orients its dorsal spinal cord at about 45 incline while copulating with the recipient livestock. A tilt sensor detects the angle of inclination in relation to gravity or a predetermined reference angle. The copulation angle is generally greater than 45. A counting apparatus registers the count every time the copulation angle is detected. A transmitter sends the count data to a remote data storage for analysis of copulating patterns. A solar panel provides renewable energy to recharge a battery. A control portion controls the device with a power switch and a reset switch. A camera and light provide more efficient analysis.
