Various interchangeable end adapters facilitate temporary coupling and stabilization with respect to different conduit sizes.

The support remains suspended above the ground allowing the floor jack to roll along the ground while the vehicle is being raised. The support is then biased firmly on the ground, under weight of the vehicle, while the vehicle is suspended. A method of use of a hydraulic floor jack is also disclosed.
