SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTABLE STANDING PLATFORM WITH FOOT PEDAL CONTROLS
Provided is a system and method for an adjustable standing platform for a person. The adjustable standing platform includes a base structured and arranged to be disposed upon a support surface with a movable platform disposed above and generally parallel to the base, the movable platform having at least one removable foot pedal controller providing at least a portion of a standing area, each removable foot pedal controller in wireless communication with at least one associated remote base unit. An actuator couples the movable platform to the base, the actuator structured and arranged to move the movable platform generally towards or away from the base. A flexible outer element substantially enclosing the adjustable standing platform, the flexible outer element structured and arranged to expand and contract as the movable platform moves relative to the base. An associated method of providing and using the adjustable standing platform is also provided.
Lifting and support apparatus
A lifting and support apparatus having a fully lowered position, a fully extended position and many transitional positions. The lifting and support apparatus includes a base portion with a first leg, a second leg, a third leg and a fourth leg hingedly attached thereto and extending therefrom. The apparatus can also include a first lateral support element that the first and second legs are extending toward and hingedly connected to and a second lateral support element that the third and fourth legs are extending toward and hingedly connected to. The apparatus further includes a lift support portion that has a fifth leg, a sixth leg, a seventh leg and an eighth leg hingedly connected thereto and extending therefrom, the fifth and sixth legs extending to and hingedly connected to the first lateral support element and the seventh and eighth legs extending to and hingedly connected to the second lateral support element. In addition, the apparatus has a drive apparatus and threaded shaft for forcing the first lateral support element and the second lateral support element toward and away from each other, which raises and lowers the lift support portion of the lifting apparatus relative to the base portion. A method of raising or supporting an object with a lifting and support apparatus. The method includes placing the lifting and support apparatus in a desired position relative to the object to be raised and supported. The method also includes actuating the lifting and support apparatus to raise the object to a desired height.
OBSTACLE DETECTION SYSTEM FOR AN AERIAL WORK PLATFORM
A platform assembly includes a work platform including a platform floor and a safety rail extending from the platform floor to a rail height, and a primary sensor unit secured to the work platform and positioned adjacent one of the platform floor and the safety rail. The primary sensor unit is configured to monitor an area from the platform floor or from the safety rail to a space above the rail height and forward and aft of the work platform. The platform assembly enhances protection for an operator from sustained involuntary operation resulting in an impact with an obstruction or structure.
A VACUUM LIFTING DEVICE
A vacuum lifting device to facilitate the lifting and/or repositioning of an article having an external surface as set out herein comprises at least one pair of handles and a base having opposed first and second surfaces, the base having an aperture arranged through the base. The second surface is arranged is provided with a continuous sealing joint projecting downwards from the second surface defining an enclosed area which includes the aperture on the bottom surface of the base. The vacuum lifting device also comprises a suction conduit arranged to be connected to a vacuum generating member and configured to be in fluid connection with the second surface of the base through the aperture. The vacuum lifting device further comprises an extendable lifting member arranged between the at least one pair of handles and the first surface of the base, the lifting member is actuated by a lift actuating member for shifting the base in a vertical direction transferring said vacuum lifting device (10) between an extended and a compressed state. A method for using the vacuum lifting device is also disclosed.
Vehicle loading system
A loading/unloading system for an associated truck bed includes first and second laterally spaced rails configured for re) receipt in the associated truck bed. First and second support leg assemblies are operatively associated with the first and second rails, respectively. First and second motors are received on the first and second leg assemblies, respectively, and are configured to selectively raise and lower the first and second rails. A sensor assembly is mounted on the rails to monitor the position of the first rail relative to the second rail. The sensor assembly is interconnected to the first and second motors for maintaining the rails at the same height relative to one another.
Movable base and method for transporting equipment
The invention relates to a movable base for transporting equipment by land, in particular aeronautical equipment. The movable base comprises a frame including two side arms designed to move parallel to one another and means for rolling on the ground, which are connected to the frame. Each side arm comprises lifting means designed to move the equipment vertically and to tilt same between the side arms.
Obstacle detection system for an aerial work platform
A platform assembly includes a work platform including a platform floor and a safety rail extending from the platform floor to a rail height, and a primary sensor unit secured to the work platform and positioned adjacent the platform floor. The primary sensor unit is configured to monitor an area from the platform floor to a space above the rail height and forward and aft of the work platform. The platform assembly enhances protection for an operator from sustained involuntary operation resulting in an impact with an obstruction or structure.
Vehicle lifting equipment
Lifting equipment for repairing post-collision, damaged or under maintenance vehicles includes a central lifter having an upper platform/framework. Supports for lifting by the vehicle wheels are applied on side profiles of the upper platform/framework, or, alternatively, different supports for lifting by the vehicle underbody/underchassis using rubber pads.
