Systems, methods, and apparatuses for sealing bottles with a Roll-on Pilfer Proof (ROPP) closure and a childproof overcap are provided. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to an overcap that can be placed onto or formed onto the ROPP closure. The overcap has a retainer that secures the overcap to the ROPP closure and allows the overcap to move relative to the ROPP closure in a longitudinal axis. The overcap moves between a first position or mode of operation where the overcap can rotate about the ROPP closure and a second position or mode of operation where the overcap engages the ROPP closure to transmit a twisting or torque force to the ROPP closure and open the bottle.

Apparatus for engaging a cap releasably secured in a container includes a carrier that is selectively movable up and down relative to the container and carries a cap engagement tool and a centering collar. At least one among the cap engagement tool and centering collar is biased downwardly by at least two spaced-part biasing members during operations.

The invention is a tool to seal a bottle neck by a stopper where the stopper includes a top protruding part relative to a top surface. The tool includes a body with an inner hollow housing that is complementary in shape relative to the stopper to engage the stopper therein. The housing includes a top wall and a peripheral wall, where the top wall has at least one contact surface with the top surface of the stopper. A device for holding a container in a container handling machine, for example for holding a support-ring-free bottle for the application of a screw closure, includes a carrier and a holding arrangement arranged on the carrier. The holding arrangement is movable relative to the carrier between a closed position for holding the container and an open position for releasing the container. The holding arrangement includes a collar-shaped support projection for supporting the container on a retaining ring of the container. The collar-shaped support projection includes a support projection region of a first holding arm and a support projection region of a second holding arm. The first holding arm and the second holding arm are arranged on the carrier so as to be pivotable in relation to one another for moving between the open position and the closed position.

A device for holding a container in a container handling machine, for example for holding a support-ring-free bottle for the application of a screw closure, includes a carrier and a holding arrangement arranged on the carrier. The holding arrangement is movable relative to the carrier between a closed position for holding the container and an open position for releasing the container. The holding arrangement includes a collar-shaped support projection for supporting the container on a retaining ring of the container. The collar-shaped support projection includes a support projection region of a first holding arm and a support projection region of a second holding arm. The first holding arm and the second holding arm are arranged on the carrier so as to be pivotable in relation to one another for moving between the open position and the closed position.

A device for gripping and centring containers, in particular bottles of which the neck is provided with a rigid collar, in a capping and/or control station of a capping installation is provided and includes a centring ring, intended for being inserted onto a container and for resting on an upper portion of the body of the container, and a plurality of jaws, distributed along the circumference of the centring ring and arranged to receive, in an operating condition, the region of the neck of the container located immediately below the rigid collar. The centring ring is associated with moving members arranged to control a displacement thereof in vertical direction, and the jaws are associated with moving members arranged to control a displacement thereof in vertical direction, simultaneously with or independently of the vertical displacement of the centring ring, and a displacement in horizontal direction. A capping installation is also disclosed.

A beverage bottle sealing assembly includes a beverage bottle that has a neck. A cap is removably engaged to the beverage bottle for closing the beverage bottle. An elongate panel is provided and the elongate panel is comprised of a non-adhesive material. A plurality of disks is each removably adhered to the elongate panel. A respective one of the disks is removable from the elongate panel and positioned over the beverage bottle when the cap has been removed from the beverage bottle. Furthermore, each of the disks is comprised of a compressible material thereby facilitating the disks to form a fluid impermeable seal between the beverage bottle and the cap. In this way the disk that is positioned on the beverage bottle retains freshness of a beverage contained in the beverage bottle.

A beverage bottle sealing assembly includes a beverage bottle that has a neck. A cap is removably engaged to the beverage bottle for closing the beverage bottle. An elongate panel is provided and the elongate panel is comprised of a non-adhesive material. A plurality of disks is each removably adhered to the elongate panel. A respective one of the disks is removable from the elongate panel and positioned over the beverage bottle when the cap has been removed from the beverage bottle. Furthermore, each of the disks is comprised of a compressible material thereby facilitating the disks to form a fluid impermeable seal between the beverage bottle and the cap. In this way the disk that is positioned on the beverage bottle retains freshness of a beverage contained in the beverage bottle.
