CLOSING ANGLE MEASUREMENT WITH TORQUE
The present invention relates to a method for the particularly automated measurement of a closing angle of a lid (110) of a container (100) particularly a bottle lid (110) with a screw thread (120) comprising the following steps: a) Positioning of the container (100) and determining of a starting position, b) Turning of the lid (110) from a closing position (I) into the direction of an open position (II) of the lid (110), c) Detection of an open position (II) of the lid (110) and a corresponding open position angle , d) Calculation of the closing angle of the lid (110) on the basis of the open position angle and particularly, a lid parameter.
Cap gripper
A cap gripper is described herein with a groove for receiving a projecting portion of a cap. A positively biased member may create a narrowing in the groove to secure the projecting portion of the cap within the groove. The positively biased member may be positively biased by a spring-loaded screw that is inserted into a screw hole of the cap gripper. When the cap is inserted into the cap gripper, the positively biased member may be partially depressed within the screw hole to allow the projecting portion of the cap to be inserted into the groove. Likewise, when the cap is removed from the cap gripper, the positively biased member may be partially depressed within the screw hole to allow the projecting portion of the cap to be removed from the groove.
Machine and method for orienting containers
Described is a machine for moving containers to be processed along a feed path, comprising infeed means for feeding the containers to an infeed station and an infeed transfer unit configured to pick up one container at a time and carry it to a loading station of a carousel. The carousel comprises a plurality of supports for the containers. More specifically, the machine comprises a detector configured for detecting an initial orientation of each container and a control unit configured for calculating the angle of rotation of the support in order to orient the container loaded on it in a final predetermined orientation as a function of the initial orientation detected and the movement by the transfer unit, and for rotating the support by the calculated angle of rotation.

CAP ORIENTATION
A method and apparatus for applying a cap to a container may include arranging a first cap in relation to the neck portion of a first container, such that a threaded portion of the first cap faces a complementary threaded neck portion of the first container. Further, a symmetry axis of the first cap and a symmetry axis of the neck portion of the first container may be aligned. The first cap may be rotated around its symmetry axis to a pre-recorded initial angular position. The first cap may be applied to the neck portion by moving the cap towards the threaded neck portion or vice versa along their symmetry axes and by rotating the first cap in a direction of engagement with the threaded neck part. A path length of the first cap may be recorded in relation to its initial angular position after which it has completely engaged the complementary threaded neck portion and reached a bottom part of the neck portion. If the recorded path length for the first cap deviates from a predefined value, the initial angular position of a second cap may be adjusted to a new initial angular position.
Carousel for processing containers
A carousel for processing containers includes a base structure that can rotate about the rotation axis of the carousel and supports a plurality of supporting elements. A detection device is provided having at least one sensor that can move about the rotation axis of the carousel. The carousel further includes a plurality of kinematic connection elements arranged between the base structure and the sensor or sensors, which are adapted to couple integrally in rotation the sensor or sensors and the base structure during the movement of the sensor or sensors. The kinematic connection elements are associated with motor elements adapted to return on command the sensor or sensors from a final angular position to the initial angular position by way of an angular movement of the sensor or sensors in the opposite direction with respect to the rotation of the base structure.

COMPACT CAPPING SYSTEM FOR MODULAR PRESCRIPTION SYSTEMS
Methods and systems for capping prescription medication bottles are provided. In one embodiment, a capping system is provided that includes a first position at which uncapped bottles containing fulfilled prescriptions are received. The capping system also includes a second position at which uncapped bottles are capped. The second position may include a capping member that is axially aligned with a vertical centerline of uncapped bottles located at the second position. The capping system may also include an index wheel configured to support bottles within the capping system. The index wheel may be rotatable to convey uncapped bottles from the first position to the second position. The capping system may further include a cap track that provides caps to the capping member.

INTEGRATED CAPPER SYSTEM
An integrated conveyor line system for placing safety and non-safety caps onto bottles traveling on the same conveyor line. A network of sensors and RFID readers determine the location of bottles and ensure that the right cap is placed on each bottle. The processing system controlling the hardware components instructs the appropriate components to divert bottles to a reject holding queue when the system detects a bottle having the wrong type of cap.
