CAP OPENING AND CLOSING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAME
A cap opening and closing apparatus comprises: a first arm including a catch portion that moves, engages with an edge portion of a cap of a microtube, and opens the cap as the first arm rotates about a first rotation axis in a first direction; and a second arm including a pressing member that presses and closes the cap as the second arm rotates about a second rotation axis in a second direction opposite to the first direction. When opening the cap, the first and second arms are rotated in the first direction while the cap is positioned between the catch portion and the pressure member and an angle formed by a line joining the first rotation axis and the catch portion and a line joining the second rotation axis and the pressing member is kept within a predetermined angle range.

Container with cap opening feature
Containers comprise a container body and a cap, wherein the cap comprises a surface feature configured to accommodate engagement with a member to provide desired increased leverage to a user to aid loosening and/or removing the cap from the container. The surface feature may be an opening or any other surface feature, and the member may be another container having a cap or container body having a surface feature configured to complement and fit the surface feature of the cap, forming an interlocking attachment therewith. Both containers may be configured identically, each having surface features that complement one another, thereby forming a system made up of such two containers for loosening/removing the caps of one another. The caps each may include an opening and a section sized to fit in the opening so that the section of one cap fits in the opening of the other cap.
Combination Tool Assembly
A combination tool assembly for combining an opening tool with a putty knife includes a putty knife that has a handle and a blade integrated into the handle. An opening tool is slidably integrated into the handle. The opening tool is positionable in an extended position to pry a lid on a can and the opening tool is positionable in a retracted position for storage. A button is coupled to the opening tool and the button can be manipulated by a user for positioning the opening tool between the extended position and the retracted position.

Multipurpose Container Opener
The present invention relates to a lid removal or container opener tool. The tool is a standalone device made of a rigid material and has a plurality of container opening slots and edges. More specifically, the tool is a tapered and has a corrugated tapered surface and a smooth tapered surface. The tapered surfaces along with bottom surface of the tool is used for accommodating and securing a lid to open. The tool can be easily grasped in the palm and fingers for twisting. A prying slot is used for opening pry-type caps. A protrusion, a linear corrugated slot and a linear smooth slot are also used for opening a variety of containers.

Jar Lid Opener
Rotating or pressing one or more handles will rotate one or more cams which push on the lid side. This causes a lever to rotate and forces two opposing jaws to press on the jar. With further rotating or pressing, the cam(s) rotates more and its rough surface or teeth forces the lid to rotate with high torque. Since the cam size is smaller than the lid diameter, much less force is needed to open the lid. And since the jar lid opener grips both the lid and the jar at the same time, there is no need to hold the jar tight while rotating or press the handles.
