PUMP BOTTLE ACCESS DEVICE
20200355211 · 2020-11-12 ·

A bottle access device comprising a body, a central bore extending partway through the body from a first end, and one or more radial bores extending radially from the central bore through the side of the body. The bores may form a path from outside the body, through the radial bores, through the central bore, and out the first end. The device may be inserted through the wall of a plastic bottle, allowing access to product within the bottle via the bores by squeezing the bottle. The body may be threaded and the second end of the body may be pointed, allowing the device to act as a self-tapping screw for insertion into the wall of the bottle.

Piercing device for venting a container

A container for dispensing a liquid includes a body and a piercing device. The body includes an interior storage volume, an outlet through the first wall for dispensing the liquid, a first track disposed in a first side wall of the body, and a second track disposed in a second side wall of the body, the second side wall opposite the first side wall. The piercing device can be slidably coupled to the body and includes a first rail configured to slide within the first track, a second rail configured to slide within the second track, and a piercer that includes a piercing end. The piercer can slide from a first position to a second position to pierce the body and create a vent opening.

Assay apparatuses, methods and reagents

We describe apparatuses, systems, method, reagents, and kits for conducting assays as well as process for their preparation. They are particularly well suited for conducting automated sampling, sample preparation, and analysis in a multi-well plate assay format. For example, they may be used for automated analysis of particulates in air and/or liquid samples derived therefrom in environmental monitoring.

A beverage container coupler includes a body defining a first cavity open on a first side of the body and configured for removably retaining a first beverage container, a second cavity open on a second side of the body opposite the first side and configured for removably retaining a second beverage container in proximity with the first beverage container, and a fluid path open between the first cavity and the second cavity. The beverage container coupler further includes a puncturing element at least partially positioned within the first cavity.

Pierce at first use dispensing tap for flexible bag with filling gland and bag including the same

A package including a fitment for dispensing a liquid from a flexible bag is disclosed. The fitment is secured to the bag and includes a compressible bulb and a piercing member that are coupled together. In two embodiments the fitment is configured so that the piercing member pierces through a wall of the bag to dispense the bag's contents through an outlet port of the fitment. One of those embodiments includes a separate valve to open and close the outlet port. Another embodiment does not include a separate valve to open and close the outlet port. A third embodiment makes use of a fitment connected to a filling gland of the bag and which is in communication with the interior of the bag. That third embodiment includes a frangible seal forming part of the fitment and which is pierced by the piercing member to dispense the liquid from the bag.

FLUID DISPENSING APPARATUS AND METHOD

A fluid dispenser including a body, a chamber coupled to or formed as part of the body and configured to contain a quantity of fluid, and a piston coupled to the body and rotatable within the chamber to different position. The piston is movable relative to the chamber in a first direction along an axis to draw fluid into the chamber, and the piston is movable relative to the chamber in a second direction opposite the first direction to discharge fluid from the chamber. The piston has stroke lengths that are selectable via the different rotational positions of the piston and that are associated with metered quantities of fluid to be drawn into the chamber. An anti-reversal feature is disposed between the piston and the body. The anti-reversal feature inhibits reversal of the piston during movement of the piston in the first direction or the second direction.

Pesticide dispenser and selection tool

Systems and methods for mixing, storing, and dispensing pesticides, and guiding a user to an appropriate pest solution, are provided. One pesticide dispensing system includes a portable container comprising an opening configured to receive a pack having a predetermined size and shape, the pack containing a concentrated pesticide. The system further includes a piercing unit to create a hole in the pack for dispensing the pesticide into the container via the opening. Embodiments also include a pest solution selection kiosk comprising a display for displaying a first set of prompts for selection of a pest solution and receiving a touch input representing user selection of a prompt; a processor for identifying second prompts based on the user selection and stored pest solution criteria and identifying a pest solution product based on user-selection of the second prompts. The display presents information about the selected product and/or a dispense option.
