Vaginal insert method of manufacture
A method of manufacture for a vaginal insert. The vaginal insert may have a core, a cover, and a removal element. In various embodiments, the cover can be conformed to the vaginal insert.
Devices, systems, and methods for prosthesis delivery and implantation, including the use of a fastener tool
Devices, systems, and methods for implanting radially expandable prostheses in the body lumens rely on tacking or anchoring the prostheses with separately introduced fasteners. The prostheses may be self-expanding or balloon expandable, and may include a single lumen or more than one lumen. After initial placement, a fastener applier system is introduced within the expanded prostheses to deploy a plurality of fasteners to at least one prosthesis end. The fasteners are usually helical fasteners which are releasably restrained on the fastener driver, and are delivered by rotation of the fastener driver. The fasteners may be applied singly, typically in circumferentially spaced-apart patterns about the interior of at least one end of the prosthesis. A lumen extension or lumens may be coupled to the prosthesis to extend the reach of the prosthesis within the implantation site. Fasteners may also be applied to the lumen extensions.
Methods and apparatus for minimally invasive modular interbody fusion devices
A modular interbody fusion device for fusing adjacent spinal vertebrae that is adapted to be implanted in a prepared interbody space including a first modular segment having a width including a first rail extending at least partially along one side of the width and beyond a periphery of a body portion of the first modular segment, a second modular segment having a width and slidably connected to the first rail on one side of the width and having a second rail extending at least partially along another side of the width and beyond a periphery of a body portion of the second modular segment, a third modular segment having a width and slidably connected to the second rail on one side of the width and wherein the device has an expanded position and an implanted position in which the modular segments are combined to mimic the shape of the vertebra.
Prosthetic intervertebral discs implantable by minimally invasive, posterior approach, surgical techniques
Spinal implants are described that may be surgically implanted into the spine to replace damaged or diseased discs using a posterior approach. The implants are prosthetic devices that can approach or mimic the physiological motion and reaction of the natural disc. The implants are adapted to be used in minimally invasive surgical procedures.
Lens holder method
An apparatus for safely retaining an eye implant lens for transport and access for inspection and use in which a holding apparatus has a chamber for holding a lens. In one embodiment the chamber has aligned transparent portions and a lens can be placed in alignment with the transparent portions to enable inspection. Also, a system including the apparatus and a bottle assembly that will hold the apparatus in the bottle. A method for holding an eye implant lens in which a lens is placed in the apparatus which can then be placed in a bottle assembly.
System and method for facet joint replacement
A facet joint replacement system includes an inferior implant with an inferior articular surface, a superior implant with a superior articular surface and may include a crosslink extending across a vertebral sagittal plane. The inferior implant may comprise an inferior strut, and a polyaxially adjustable, lockable mechanism which may couple the inferior articular surface with a first end of the inferior strut, and couple the inferior articular surface with the crosslink. A second end of the inferior strut may be secured to a polyaxially adjustable, lockable fixation assembly securable in a vertebra. The superior implant may be secured to a polyaxially adjustable lockable fixation assembly securable in a vertebra. The positions of the inferior articular surface and the first end of the inferior strut are independently translatable along a medial-lateral axis of the vertebra prior to lockout by the lockable mechanism. The crosslink may be placed into the lockable mechanism from a posterior approach.
Applicators for treating vaginal dryness
A kit for treating vaginal dryness is provided. The kit comprises a hand held applicator and a dispenser or receptacle storing a vaginal care composition.
Endosseous implant
Endosseous implant to be applied to a human or animal bone, wherein the surface of the implant is made from titanium or a titanium alloy, said implant having a smooth or rough surface texture, which is characterized in that said surface has been treated with at least one selected organic phosphonate compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester or an amide thereof; process for producing said implants.
METHOD OF PACKAGING AMNIOTIC MEMBRANE
A method of packaging amniotic membrane that maintains its structure to be used as a graft includes attaching the amniotic membrane to a support, dimensioning the amniotic membrane together with the support through an inert cutting device or guillotine, gluing the amniotic membrane together with the support to the interior of a container, and sterilizing the amniotic membrane. A packaged amniotic membrane includes a dimensioned sterilized amniotic membrane attached to a support, wherein the amniotic membrane is glued together with the support to a rigid, sterilized container.
Artificial hair implant device
An artificial hair implant device is disclosed. The artificial hair implant device according to the present invention has: a body part having a hollow body; a head part in which a head is coupled and fixed to the body, an implant needle is provided to be able to enter and exit the head and has an artificial hair fitted around an end portion thereof that is drawn out from the head, and a return spring is provided between the implant needle and the head and returns the implant needle drawn out from the head back to an original position; and a button part in which a button is movably provided on the body, and a pressing shaft is provided under the button and enters and exits the body, thereby pressing the implant needle, such that the implant needle is drawn out from the head.
