Introduced here are systems for customized formulation and production of cleaning products and associated methods for using those systems. A system may include a computer-implemented platform (also referred to as a formulation platform or production platform) that is communicatively connected to an interactive dispensing machine responsible for making cleaning products. An individual or company may be permitted to select, create, or modify formulas via the production platform, while the interactive dispensing machine can produce cleaning products in accordance with those formulas.

Method of estimating an amount of liquid poured from a container, and an apparatus for the same

A method of estimating an amount of liquid poured from a container includes receiving a tactile signal detected by at least one tactile sensor of an end effector holding the container containing the liquid; receiving a joint signal including an angular position, angular velocity, and torque of a joint connected to the end effector; and estimating, based on the tactile signal and the joint signal, the amount of liquid poured from the container.

Fluid transfer devices and methods of use

Some embodiments disclosed herein related to a device for transferring precise amounts of fluid from at least one source container to a at least one target container. In some embodiments, the fluid is first transferred from the source container (e.g., a vial) through a connector to an intermediate measuring container (e.g., a syringe). In some embodiments air can pass through an air inlet and enter the vial to compensate for the volume of fluid withdrawn from the vial. An air check valve or a bag or a filter can prevent the fluid from escaping through the air inlet. The precisely measured amount of fluid can then be transferred from the intermediate measuring container to the target container (e.g., an IV bag). In some embodiments the connector can include a source check valve and a target check valve to direct fluid first from the source container to the intermediate measuring container and then from the intermediate measuring container to the target container. Some embodiments of the device can include a motor and a controller for automatically actuating a plunger of the syringe to transfer the desired amount of fluid.

A beverage dispensing system includes a point of sale and one or more free-pour and/or controlled-pour spouts. The system receives data at the point of sale that includes a beverage selection entered at a user interface and determines the ingredients in the beverage selection. A dispensing instruction is sent to one of the controlled-pour spouts to dispense a quantity of the ingredient based at least in part on the beverage selection. For the free-pour spouts, a quantity of the ingredient is measured as the ingredient is dispensed from a container through a free-pour spout. The point of sale receives data that includes the identity of the ingredient and the measured quantity. A price of the beverage selection is calculated based at least in part on the ingredients dispensed and the quantities thereof. The price may be automatically calculated upon dispensing of the beverage selection.

A fluid level manager may regulate the introduction of a fluid into an environment. The fluid level may include a main housing with at least one entrance hole and at least one exit hole. A pipe may be connected to the first, entrance hole for introducing the fluid into the main housing. Fluid may exit from the main housing into the environment through the exit hole, for instance by gravity. A valve may be provided in the in the main housing in order to automatically shut off the introduction of water into the main housing as fluid accumulates in the housing. One of many embodiments of the environment could be soil, and in this embodiment the housing may be buried in the soil and fluid, which may be water, can be regulated based on soil saturation.

Select fill sensor system for refrigerator dispensers

A refrigerator includes a dispenser having a dispenser well, a control for regulating a product dispensing operation, and an optical sensing system includes a camera within the dispenser well in communication with a controller for controlling the filling of a container within the dispenser well based on image data. The image data can used to detect at least one of a presence of a container in the dispenser well, a height of liquid within the container, a height of ice within the container and a shape of the container within the dispenser well, as well as to adjust a dispensing rate of product.
