A galley insert beverage making system for producing chilled drinks comprising: a body configured to be inserted into a vehicle galley compartment. The body comprises: a cooling system; and a motor. The galley insert beverage making system also comprises a pitcher system. The pitcher system comprises: a pitcher; a blending element configured to be rotationally driven by the motor; and a stirring element configured to be rotationally driven by the motor. The body defines a cavity configured to receive the pitcher, and the system is configured such that the cooling system cools the pitcher.

A pouch for use in a beverage dispenser is a soft pouch having a liquid or slurry contents stored in a compartment thereof. The pouch has a front panel, a rear panel, and a base panel. The front and rear panels are joined together by a common seal around their side edges and an upper edge thereof. An upper portion of the pouch has a top edge, upper side edges and rounded shoulders that are connected to the side edges of the front and rear panels. The top edge has a width that is narrower than the pouch width. The pouch is formed of a laminated material.

A device for infusing flavor into liquids fits and seals to the neck of a bottle. The device has an infusing chamber that is selectively in fluid communication with the liquid in the bottle. The infusing chamber holds a replaceable infusing material that partially dissolves and infuses flavor as liquid passes over it. A check ball selectively separates the infusing chamber from the liquid in the bottle to prevent any infused liquid from returning to the bottle. The device has a passage for makeup air to enter the bottle as infused liquid is dispensed. The infusing material is replaceable by accessing the infusing chamber.

A mixing funnel for mixing fluids is provided. In one embodiment, the mixing funnel includes a tray having a fluid inlet arranged to receive a primary fluid flow, and first and second fluid passages configured to receive primary fluid flow from the fluid inlet such that the flow is divided to flow along the first and second fluid passages. The first and second fluid passages can be arranged to direct the primary fluid flow to a mixing area. The invention relates to a cartridge receiver (10) for producing a drink (70) using a cartridge (2) that comprises a reservoir (6) filled with a drink substance (7), it being possible to insert the cartridge receiver (10) into a drink preparation machine (3) and connect it to the cartridge (2), wherein the cartridge receiver (10) comprises a mixing chamber (8) that can be brought into fluidic connection with the reservoir (6), and a fluid supply (12) that opens into the mixing chamber (8). The invention is characterised in that the cartridge receiver (10) comprises a mandrel guide (80) and a puncturing mandrel (73) that is displaceably mounted within said mandrel guide (80), wherein the puncturing mandrel (73) can be displaced between a retracted position in which said puncturing mandrel (73) is positioned at a distance from a sealing element (18) of the cartridge (2), and an extended position in which said puncturing mandrel (73) pierces the sealing element (18) and projects into the reservoir (6). The outer wall of the puncturing mandrel (73) comprises at least one lateral channel (71) for conducting the drink substance (7) in the direction of the mixing chamber (8) when the sealing element (18) has been pierced.

A container can be configured for use with an attachment for mixing and dispensing a solution. The container can include an outlet opening for flow out of the container, and a container valve that is configured to control the flow out of the outlet opening. A neck of the container can be oblong, can include a first attachment flange and a second attachment flange, or can include a first attachment shelf and a second attachment shelf.

This invention relates to a beverage delivery vending system that provides the consumer with the option of choosing ingredients of their choice, using a computer touchscreen that is connected to a computing system. The ingredients chosen are delivered using a frozen food delivery system. The ingredients are blended using a blending system and dispensed through solenoid valves and into a disposable cup, which is dispended by a cup-dispenser unit. The ingredients are mixed inside the disposable cup using a sanitary mixer. The consumer has the option of payment for the drink in cash, by debit card, and/or credit card.

A single-use chamber comprising a primary subchamber containing at least one primary component configured to perform an operation comprising at least one of generation and handling of a biological material; and a secondary subchamber containing at least one of a connection to equipment external to the single-use chamber and a secondary component, wherein the external equipment and the secondary component are configured to support the operation of the at least one primary component; wherein the primary subchamber and the secondary subchamber are configured to be connected to each other so that the at least one primary component is operatively coupled to at least one of the connection and the secondary component.

A beverage diluting and cooling container includes a floor, a peripheral sidewall, and a divider wall that divides an interior space defined by the peripheral sidewall into a first compartment that receives a cooling medium for cooling and diluting a beverage received into the first compartment. The divider wall also divides the interior space into a second compartment that holds a second quantity of a cooling medium for non-dilutingly cooling the beverage. The second compartment is sealed from the first compartment to prevent flow of liquid from the second compartment into the first compartment. One or more of the floor or a portion of the sidewall bounding the first compartment includes at least one opening therethrough to allow flow of the beverage out of the first compartment while containing the cooling medium in the first compartment.
