FUEL ADDITIVE BOTTLE FOR USE WITH CAPLESS FUEL SYSTEM
20180134437 · 2018-05-17 ·

A fuel additive bottle has a neck and thread pattern that allows insertion into a capless fuel system so the bottle's contents can be poured by gravity into a fuel tank. The neck of the bottle is elongated and has a diameter of approximately 0.854, and the novel thread pattern includes thread interruptions that form at least one threadless path. In use, the spring loaded tabs of a capless fuel system are depressed by the threadless path portion of bottle, thereby triggering the self-sealing mechanism to open, so the fluid receiving aperture is exposed. The use of the threadless paths facilitates the safe and easy entry and removal of the bottle from the capless fuel system.

Container for transporting and storing a liquid

A container for transporting and storing a liquid and with a dual function closure, the container comprises a container body with at least one inlet opening closed by a cap. The cap comprises a first and a second opening, as well as a first closure insert and a second closure insert. The first and second openings are each surrounded by a respective circumferential wall that comprises a shoulder. Each closure insert releasably engages with the respective shoulder such that the respective opening is fluid tightly closed. The cap comprises a locking means adapted to engage with a locking interface of a coupling device.

Milk Jug and Method

A milk jug includes a pitcher body, a handle, a blade retainer, and an expiration tag retainer. The milk jug is useful for containing and dispensing milk packaged in bags while retaining necessary accessories on the pitcher. The milk jug improves the utility and convenience of using milk bags by preventing the loss of the blade and expiration tag commonly used with milk bags.

Preservation device

A preservation device, configured to form an air tight seal when disposed on a bottle and/or a vessel, is used to preserve liquids and other items, such as foodstuffs, which spoil when exposed to oxygen for a period of time. The device comprises at least a container which contains an oxygen absorber to remove oxygen remaining in the bottle or vessel after it is sealed by the preservation device. The container or the oxygen absorber has a gas permeable, liquid impermeable membrane. The preservation device may include an air channel system to control the flow of the liquid to be dispensed from the bottle without requiring the removal of the entire stopper device from the bottle, to enable the liquid to be dispensed while only allowing a minimal amount of oxygen to enter the bottle, thus improving preservation.

Wine dispenser that protects unpoured wine from oxidation by preventing air from entering the dispenser when partially full

A wine dispenser is disclosed that protects unpoured wine from oxidation due to exposure to air within the dispenser. The dispenser includes a dispenser body having a weighted piston disposed within, the weighted piston being configured to move toward the dispensing end of the dispenser body when the dispenser is tilted downward, causing wine to be dispensed via a dispensing assembly. The dispensing assembly includes a lid having a wine flow channel that provides a path for wine to flow out of the dispenser body, and a unidirectional flow valve that is biased in a closed air-tight state to prevent air from entering the dispenser body via the wine flow channel, unless the unidirectional flow valve is forced into an open state, thereby allowing wine to flow out from the dispenser body via the wine flow channel, and then out of the dispenser via a pouring neck.

CONTAINER CAPABLE OF DISPLAYING FLOW RATE
20240375934 · 2024-11-14 ·

A container capable of displaying a flow rate includes a container body and a flowmeter, a display, and a control circuit module mounted therein. The container body has a channel. The flowmeter has a conduit fluidly communicating with the channel for sensing a liquid flow. The control circuit module is signally connected to the flowmeter and the display to control the display to show a flow rate based on a measurement signal of the flowmeter.

PITCHER ASSEMBLY FOR REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE

A pitcher assembly comprises a pitcher including a wall connected to a bottom defining a picture volume. The wall defines an opening at the top edge of the pitcher and a spout is formed at the top edge of the pitcher. A lid is removably fitted to the opening, the lid having a vertical wall extending from the skirt at the spout, and a second wall extending into the spout. The first and second walls cooperate with the spout and the skirt to at least partially block liquid from unintentionally splashing out of the pitcher volume. The lid may also include an energy-absorbing material disposed between a vertically displaceable float body and the lid.

Beverage dispensing systems and methods

A beverage dispensing system includes a point of sale and one or more free-pour and/or controlled-pour spouts. The system receives data at the point of sale that includes a beverage selection entered at a user interface and determines the ingredients in the beverage selection. A dispensing instruction is sent to one of the controlled-pour spouts to dispense a quantity of the ingredient based at least in part on the beverage selection. For the free-pour spouts, a quantity of the ingredient is measured as the ingredient is dispensed from a container through a free-pour spout. The point of sale receives data that includes the identity of the ingredient and the measured quantity. A price of the beverage selection is calculated based at least in part on the ingredients dispensed and the quantities thereof. The price may be automatically calculated upon dispensing of the beverage selection.

Fluid transfer lid
09926185 · 2018-03-27 · ·

A fluid transfer lid for removably coupling to pharmacy bottles or containers for withdrawing and/or delivering liquid medication or other fluid therefrom or thereto. In example forms, a syringe comprising a male or female connection tip couples with a transfer port of the lid, thereby allowing the transfer of fluids from the container and to the syringe.

Container for preserving liquid contents

A beverage container includes a flexible inside container and a rigid outside container. The flexible container can retain a liquid and seal the liquid from environmental air, while the surrounding rigid container facilitates handling and pouring in a form factor that reproduces the look and feel of a conventional wine bottle. A one-way valve permits pouring from the flexible container while preventing ingress of atmospheric oxygen or other contaminants. In particular, the one-way valve can be configured to retain a beverage within the flexible container until an exit path for the beverage through the valve is filled with liquid to seal the exit path and effectively eliminate any return path for ingress of air. To create a bottle-like pouring experience, the valve may automatically open to allow for the pouring of fluid when the bottle is tilted, and the valve may automatically close at the end of a pour.
