TAP AND CONTAINER OR BEER KEG HAVING A TAP
A tap for the removal of liquid from a container, such as a 5L party beer keg, comprises a sleeve, a piston which can be drawn at least partially out of the sleeve, an outlet head which adjoins the piston and can be pivoted, typically in relation to the longitudinal axis of the piston, and has an outlet, and an actuator which is generally assigned to the outlet or arranged downstream of the same. The actuator serves to draw the piston out of the sleeve and thereby activate the tap, and to pivot the outlet head and thereby open a flow path extending at least partially through the sleeve and the piston to the outlet for tapping purposes. The actuator comprises a handle for drawing the piston out of the sleeve (for activation) and an actuating lever which is connected to the handle for pivoting the outlet head (for tapping).
Dispensing systems and methods for using the same
Dispensing systems for delivering a product from the inside of a container to a receptacle, cup, or container include valve systems and other dispensing configurations to reduce mess, parts, and costs associated with such dispensing systems.
Fitment for dispensing fluids from a flexible container and related applications
A fitment assembly for use with a spout of a fluid container. The assembly includes a fitment and a poppet seal with a flexible element. The fitment includes a top portion and a bottom portion. The poppet seal extends from the bottom portion into the top portion. An attachment portion secures the flexible element within the bottom portion of the fitment. The flexible element provides a closing force to move the poppet seal from a closed to an open position. The poppet seal has a closed position, an open position, and a transport position. The poppet seal has a central support member that extends from the sealing surface of the poppet seal into the top portion of the fitment in the closed and transport condition.
Method and apparatus for refilling a container
The method includes providing a fluid-dispensing container having at least a first chamber for containing a fluid to be dispensed therefrom and a valve or tap assembly for dispensing the fluid from the first chamber. The valve or tap assembly having an outlet for dispensing fluid and closure means for the outlet. Steps are provided for a fluid refilling apparatus to engage the valve or tap assembly, moving the closure means of the valve or tap assembly from a closed condition to an open condition, injecting or pumping fluid from the refilling apparatus through the outlet of the valve or tap assembly and into the first chamber, and removing the refilling apparatus from the valve or tap assembly and moving the closure means from the open condition to the closed condition.
HIGH FLOW TAP FOR DISPENSING FLUIDS FROM A CONTAINER AND RELATED APPLICATIONS
A tap dispenser assembly for use with a fluid container including a tap body, a spring button, and a valve. The tap body includes an attachment portion, a dispensing portion, and a fluid channel with an upper wall and a lower wall. The dispensing portion includes a valve stem guide and a guide support. The guide support is above the lower wall and/or the upper wall. The valve is connected to the spring button and is slidingly inserted into the valve stem guide. The tap dispenser assembly has a closed position where the spring button is not depressed and the valve seals the dispensing portion and an open position where the spring button is depressed and the seal between the valve and dispensing portion is broken, allowing fluid to flow from the tap dispenser assembly.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MIXING LIQUID IN A BEVERAGE CONTAINER
Exemplary embodiments include an apparatus that can be connected to a valve on a keg, such as a Sankey-D valve, and can be used to add gas into the keg to mix the contents, which may be including alcoholic spirts and a non-alcoholic drink mix. The apparatus has an upper structure which is coupled to a lower portion configured to mate with a keg valve. The filling apparatus may be designed to depress the ball valve and ring valve portions of the keg valve to allow for both the addition of gas and venting of gas from the keg simultaneously.
Tap for Liquid Containment Containers
A tap for packaging containing liquid, formed by a box and a containment bag situated therein, includes a body with a connection to the bag and an outlet mouth to the exterior in the bottom region thereof, and the interior of which comprises a tightly fitting patch for closing the outlet mouth and an elastic spring connected to the patch, and an opening device with lateral fins connected to the patch; the tap is provided with means for actuating the fins of the opening device, which includes a lever part, and a connection element for connecting the lever part to the body of the tap; wherein the tilting of the lever part causes the vertical displacement of the top ends of the side pieces, which in turn vertically displace the fins, causing the tap to open by removing the patch with respect to the outlet mouth.

Tapping device for a bag-in-box package and actuating apparatus and cartridge therefor
The invention relates to a tapping device for at least one bag-in-carton package equipped with a tapping valve. The tapping device has a housing for receiving the bag-in-carton package and an actuating unit which corresponds with the tapping valve and which has a valve-receiving bearing and at least one actuating portion for actuating the tapping valve. The actuating portion is articulated on the valve-receiving bearing by a pivot pin, has an upwardly directed lever arm and is arranged completely within the housing. Upstream of a contact region which is situated above the pivot pin on the lever arm there is arranged an actuating portion which engages through the housing and acts on the lever arm in the contact region in order to actuate the tapping valve by way of the actuating portion and can be actuated manually from outside the housing. The invention further relates to the actuating unit and to a cassette for the tapping device.
