FLOW CONTROL NOZZLE
Liquid container nozzles including a valve handle, valve body, spool, and spout assembly, where the valve body may move slidingly into the valve handle over the spool to control the flow of liquid through the nozzle. Liquid flow may be controlled by adjusting the position of the valve body in relation to the valve handle and spool using varying force or pressure. The spool may include one or more holes to control the flow of liquid. In some examples of the invention, the spool may narrow in an S-shaped fashion, and the holes of the spool may be located on a portion of the spool that narrows to form S-shaped holes. These holes may swirl liquid as it is poured from the nozzle to create a more uniform flow.
Vacuum breaker valves for fuel canisters
The present disclosure is directed to devices for dispensing liquid, especially fuel. In one embodiment, a device for dispensing fuel includes a spout for pouring liquid fuel, an annular fitting including a chamber formed therein. A sealing surface, a stopper, and spring may be disposed within the chamber. The annular fitting may be attached to the spout. The annular fitting may be configured to mate with a portable fuel canister. The fitting may include sidewalls forming a channel for liquid fuel, an outer wall enveloping a portion of the sidewall forming a chamber proximate the liquid channel, and an atmospheric orifice formed in the outer wall. The sealing surface may be disposed proximal the orifice. The spring may be configured to bias the stopper into contact with the sealing surface such that the chamber is in selective pressure-dependent fluid communication with an atmosphere outside the device.
TANK FITTING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A tank fitting apparatus and method is provided. The tank fitting apparatus includes a bottom plate apparatus, The bottom plate apparatus includes a bottom plate having a bottom surface, a top surface, and a bottom plate passageway. The bottom plate apparatus further includes a bolt connected to the bottom plate and extending from the top surface of the bottom plate. The tank fitting apparatus further includes a valve apparatus. The valve apparatus includes a pipe and a valve integrally formed with the pipe. The valve is movable between an open valve position and a closed valve position. A top plate integrally formed on the pipe and extends outwardly from the pipe. The valve apparatus has a connected tank fitting position where the bolt of the bottom plate apparatus extends through the top plate of the valve apparatus to connect the valve apparatus with the bottom plate apparatus.
SPOUT FOR A REFILL CONTAINER
A spout for a refill container having an outlet opening for communicating with an interior volume, a lid for sealing the outlet opening against a fluid located therein, wherein the lid is removable relative to the base part for unsealing the outlet opening, a nozzle for being inserted into an inlet opening of a bottle, wherein the nozzle is relative moveable to the base part between a closing position, and a pouring position, where the nozzle is positioned close to the base part, a flexible element, connected to the base part and the nozzle for providing a fluid connection of the nozzle with the outlet opening of the base part and a pusher removable relative to the base part by means of the nozzle, wherein the pusher pushes the lid away from the outlet opening in the pouring position of the nozzle for unsealing the outlet opening.
Vent Tube
A vent tube for a liquid dispensing spout having two, staggered opening poppets is sized, shaped arranged such that opening a liquid control poppet before an air control poppet creates a vacuum in a sealed reservoir. The vent tube diameter, taper and length are cooperatively selected such that the vacuum will draw out of the tube liquid that is trapped in it.
Filling adapter (maintenance check)
A filling adapter for a container to be filled with media, in particular for the filling of containers on assembly lines for the production of motor vehicles where the filling adapter is equipped with a hose pack, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic lines. An electronic assembly (ID chip) for a maintenance check is integrated in the adapter head of the filling adapter, which assembly detects the number of use cycles of the filling adapter and compares said number with parameters which can be set in advance in such a way that when said parameters are approached, at least one prior warning is triggered, and when said parameters are reached, an associated controller is informed about the maintenance which is now due.
Liquid dispensing tap and closure assembly therefor
A liquid dispensing tap having a body and a closure assembly. The closure assembly having a stirrup, a closure member and a spring assembly attached to each of the stirrup and the closure member. The spring assembly having a first spring and a second spring on opposing sides of the closure member, the springs having a first end and a second end and a curved region therebetween, the first ends of the spring members being oblique to the closure axis of the closure member and the second ends of the spring members being oblique to the stirrup plane of the stirrup plane.
Refrigerator with automatic liquid dispenser
A refrigerator includes a cabinet defining a fresh food compartment and a door pivotally mounted to the cabinet and including an interior surface in communication with the fresh food compartment when the door is closed. A shelf unit is disposed adjacent the interior surface of the door, and a container is supported by the shelf unit. A fill mechanism is positioned vertically above the container and the container is configured to receive liquid from the fill mechanism. A sensor is configured to sense a property of the container or liquid received in the container. A control is in communication with the sensor and regulates a dispensing of liquid into the container based upon the sensed property. The sensor utilizes a capacitive sensor located adjacent to the container.
Linked poppet valves
Two or more poppet valves are mechanically coupled or linked to each other by a web. A single valve stem operates the multiple poppets together. One poppet controls the flow of a liquid from a reservoir. The other poppet controls the flow of air into the reservoir. The air control poppet opens after the liquid control poppet enabling a vacuum to be developed in the reservoir before the air control poppet opens. Air is thus drawn into the reservoir through the air control poppet.
