Finger prosthesis with adjustable biological activation

Prosthesis for at least one cut-off finger resulting in a stump at the height of the proximal, middle and/or distal phalange, or in a finger with missing stump. The prosthesis from a modular hinged mechanism allowing for a self-return flexion movement and the activation of said mechanism from at least one force applied to any point of a plane on said mechanism. A prosthesis for a hand with missing stumps is also provided from the wrist movement providing a range of operation greater than the art, wherein said flexion is activated from an extension movement of the wrist.

3D PRINTED PROSTHETIC LINERS AND SOCKETS

A prosthetic device includes a polymer lattice structure. The lattice structure includes a first surface arranged to face toward a residual limb, a second surface arranged to face away from the residual limb, a thickness between the first and second surfaces, and a variable lattice density across the thickness.

METHODS AND MECHANISMS FOR MAINTAINING AN ELECTRO-ACTIVE POLYMER IN A PRE-STRETCH STATE AND USES THEREOF

In some embodiments, the present invention is directed to an actuator which includes at least the following: a pre-stretched electro-active polymer film being pre-stretched in a single or biaxial planar directions; at least one first semi-stiff conductor attached to a first surface of the pre-stretched electro-active polymer film, wherein the first surface is parallel to the single or biaxial planar stretch directions; at least one second semi-stiff conductor attached to a second surface of the pre-stretched electro-active polymer film, wherein the second surface is opposite to the first surface; where the semi-stiff conductors are configured to: fix the pre-stretched electro-active polymer film in a pre-stretched state and allow the pre-stretched electro-active polymer film to expand; a pair of mechanical connectors coupled to each end of an active region of the pre-stretched electro-active polymer film.

EXPANDABLE WALL PROSTHETIC SOCKET WITH RETENTION RING
20220287858 · 2022-09-15 ·

An expandable wall prosthetic socket configured with at least one retention ring in the socket wall and a telescoping element which interacts with the retention ring to allow the telescoping element to translate inwardly and outwardly through the socket wall, via the retention ring, such that the telescoping element is applying a force on the residual limb.

One embodiment provides for a fixed retention ring that is installed into the side of the socket wall. The retention ring is laminated into or bonded to the layered composite forming the socket wall. A telescoping element is installed through the retention and makes contact with, or is connected to, a force applicator plate. As the telescoping element translates inwardly, the telescoping element makes contact with (or pushes on) the force applicator such that the force applicator produces the load on the residual limb.

Additional embodiments provide for such features as a rotating retention ring, a two part panel with a retention ring and force applicator, and a force applicator designed into a prosthetic silicone liner.

BIOMEDICAL FINGER ASSEMBLY FOR USE WITH CAPACITIVE PANELS

A prosthetic digit usable with capacitive panels is provided. The digit includes at least one conductive layer surrounding the body of the digit, and a non-conductive sealing layer around the conductive layer preventing direct external contact of the conductive layer with the capacitive panel. The digit may have a conductive tip pad to create a series capacitive pathway between the conductive layer of the body and the electrodes of the capacitive panel. Using the digit with a capacitive panel does not require a direct conductive pathway, e.g., a pathway between the capacitive panel and the structure of the device, the user's skin, or metallic sink.

Hydraulic damper with valve block

A hydraulic actuator includes a housing and with a chamber, which is arranged or formed in the housing and in which a piston is mounted movably and divides the chamber into a flexion chamber and an extension chamber. A channel for hydraulic fluid leads from the flexion chamber and the extension chamber into the housing in order to produce a fluidic connection between the flexion chamber and the extension chamber. At least one valve is arranged in the fluidic connection. The channels lead from the housing to a valve block in which the at least one valve is arranged and is fluidically coupled to the channels, and the valve block is connected to the housing.

A protective device for an upper extremity post-operative residual limb of a user. The protective device includes a multi-section shell having a shape that corresponds to an anatomical structure of the upper extremity post-operative residual limb of the user. The protective device also includes a hinge coupled with a first section and a second section of the multi-section shell, the hinge configured to facilitate relative rotation of the first section and the second section to transition the protective device between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The multi-section shell is configured to receive one or more attachments to increase functionality of the upper extremity post-operative residual limb of the user.

Prosthetic foot with enhanced stability and elastic energy return

A prosthetic foot comprises an attachment member and two or more flexible members. The attachment member can include a connector configured to connect the attachment member to a user or another prosthetic device. The two or more flexible members can be rotatably attached to the attachment member by rotatable joints such that the flexible members can both rotate and flex relative to the attachment member when the prosthetic foot contacts the ground.
