Method for creating a design for a replaceable fairing
A fairing can be attached to a prosthetic limb or over a brace to alter the appearance of the prosthetic limb or brace. The outer surface of the prosthetic limb can be a mirror image of an intact limb and the outer surface of the brace can have an outer surface that corresponds to an injured limb. Because the fairing fits closely around the prosthetic limb or brace, the interior surface of the fairing has a surface that corresponds to a mirror image of an intact limb or an outer surface of an injured limb.
Flexible coupling system
An apparatus for joining two members, comprising a central assembly within a first housing, the central assembly comprising a rotor or rotational member, a pin attached at one end to the rotor or rotational member, a base circumferentially disposed about the pin and attached thereto, a resistance member in connection with the pin, at least one compression member in connection with the resistance member, at least one intermediary member disposed between the at least one compression member and the base, a second housing in connection with the pin and first and second arm mechanisms attached at opposing distal ends of the pin.

3D-PRINTED UNIBODY MESH STRUCTURES FOR BREAST PROSTHESIS AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
A breast prosthesis device and method for making same are disclosed. The prosthesis has an inner wall mesh having a first density. The inner wall mesh is configured to align with a chest wall of the user. The prosthesis has an outer wall mesh having a second density. The outer wall mesh configured to have an ideal shape for the user. The prosthesis may also have a band with a density greater or equal to the inner and outer wall meshes. The prosthesis has a central portion disposed in between the inner and outer wall meshes. The prosthesis can be generated using 3D scans of the user manipulated such that the resulting structure mimics human tissue.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PORTIONS OF A PROSTHETIC SHAFT AND KIT
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing or planning the manufacturing of a prosthetic shaft, an inner or outer shaft and/or of an extension of the prosthetic shaft, wherein the prosthetic shaft is provided for receiving a limb stump of a patient P. The present invention further relates to prosthetic shaft and a kit. Furthermore, a computer system, a digital storage medium, a computer program product and a computer program are proposed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTEGRATED ROBUST ORTHOTICS AND PROSTHETICS HYPER-CUSTOMIZATION
Disclosed are systems, methods and computer-readable medium for developing a custom design for a prosthetic for a residual limb comprising: measuring, using a scanning apparatus, a usable measurement of the residual limb; and creating, using a computing device, a design for a prosthetic for at least a portion of a missing portion of the residual limb, wherein the prosthetic is proportionally sized according to a correlation between the usable measurement and normal anthropometric measurements.
SLIP-RESISTANT STABILIZATION DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
An apparatus may include a wearable component having an interior surface and an exterior surface, with a slip-resistant material adhered to the interior surface, the wearable component separably attached to a connecting portion having a receiving element, and the receiving element separably attached to an attachment element removably affixed to an external support structure. A method of stabilization may include obtaining the apparatus, applying the wearable component to a portion of a body, attaching the attachment element to the external support structure, and separably attaching the connecting portion to the attachment element.
Patient-adapted and improved articular implants, designs and related guide tools
Methods and devices are disclosed relating improved articular models, implant components, and related guide tools and procedures. In addition, methods and devices are disclosed relating articular models, implant components, and/or related guide tools and procedures that include one or more features derived from patient-data, for example, images of the patient's joint. The data can be used to create a model for analyzing a patient's joint and to devise and evaluate a course of corrective action. The data also can be used to create patient-adapted implant components and related tools and procedures.
Method and System for Choosing Prosthetics Through Cross-Reference of Databases
A method and system of choosing a prosthetic liner using cross-references databases which informs a user using a specified interface. Specifically, the method comprises a user accessing a graphical interface wherein amputee attributes are entered in order of (1) level of amputation, (2) residual limb length, (3) activity level, (4) residual limb shape/volume, and (5) clinical conditions with corresponding attribute options. Alternatively, the chosen attributes are (1) class of amputation, (2) residual limb length, (3) body weight, (4) use of the prosthesis, (5) activity level, and 6) uneven paths for knee joints with corresponding attribute options. Alternatively, the chosen attributes are (1) level of amputation, (2) residual limb length, (3) body weight, (4) use of the prosthesis, (5) activity level, and 6) uneven paths for foot joints with corresponding attribute options. These amputee attributes are then cross-referenced against one another and compared to a second database containing liners that correspond to the amputee attributes selected thereby educating the user, generally a prosthetist, on the appropriate liner style for a particular amputee.
PROSTHETIC LIMB SOCKET WITH VARIABLE HARNESS
A system and method for producing a customized prosthetic socket based on a digital representation of a residual limb that is used to form a digital model of a prosthetic socket. The digital model is customized to alter its internal structure to produce differing areas of flexibility and support while maintaining the overall geometry of the model and without having to use different materials. The digital model is converted for use with a three-dimensional printing or manufacturing device and then used to print the customized socket.
