A horse training aid comprises a stem running from the girth to a location under the head. A coupling rope is trained through a lateral coupler wheel at the outer end of the stem. The overall length of the aid from the girth to the mouth bits or bridle prevents excessive lifting of the horses head, but offers insignificant resistance to turning of the head as the coupling rope slides on the wheel. With the training aid the horse is encouraged to maintain the correct head position, and this allows optimum muscle development.

A sensor assembly for horse monitoring is disclosed. The sensor assembly comprises a sensor housing. The sensor housing comprises a plurality of surfaces including a first surface, a second surface, a third surface, and a fourth surface, and one or more protrusions including a first primary protrusion extending from a surface of the plurality of surfaces. The sensor assembly comprises a first optical sensor positioned at a first window of the first surface and configured to be positioned below an ear of a horse. The sensor assembly comprises an attachment element comprising a sensor opening configured for alignment with the first window. The attachment element comprises one or more openings including a first primary opening configured to receive the first primary protrusion. The attachment element is configured to removably attach the sensor assembly to a horse head equipment.

A band-like element (10), namely for forming a bridle headband (20), or for forming a decorative band (40) for belts, bracelets or necklaces, which is attachable on the upper side and in the respective longitudinal direction, is designed for simple and secure attaching so as to have versatile usability and comparatively low supply costs such that on both ends (12, 112) of the band-like element (10) a respective magnetic element (14, 114) is arranged for releasably attaching the respective end (12, 112) to a second magnetic element (32). A bridle headband (20), especially a horse bridle headband, or a decorative band (40) for base bodies (50), especially belts, bracelets or collars, comprises such band-like element (10), as well as two counterparts (22, 122, 222, 322), each having a second magnetic element (32), wherein one end (12, 112) of the respective band-like element (10) is releasably attachable or is attached to or in a counterpart (22, 122, 222, 322).

A training halter encircling and conforming to a horse's head including a harness assembly encircling and conforming to the horse's head for applying direct pressure to regions of special acuity of the horse's head. A poll strap is formed with a first metal cable disposed within the poll strap. First and second cheek straps extend downward from a crown strap along the sides of the horse's head. A jaw strap is wrapped about and under the horse's neck. A nose band, a chin strap, and first and second throat straps are suspended so as to encircle the horse's nose and chin. The nose band formed with a second metal cable disposed within the nose band.

The livestock halter may comprise a headstall, a noseband, a throatlatch, a connecting strap, a left cheekpiece, a right cheekpiece, coupled via a plurality of connecting rings to form headgear adapted to be worn by livestock. As non-limiting examples, the livestock may be equines or camelids. The headstall may be adapted to be detachable at one end for donning the halter such that the headstall is not forced over ears of the livestock. A crown buckle for adjusting the fit of the headstall may be located on the right side of the halter such the crown buckle does not interfere with the operation of a closure snap. A tie ring for connecting a lead rope may be a tie-down ring instead of a traditional ring and triangle for increased strength and easier sliding.

A rope halter conversion attachment that attaches reins to a rope halter fitted to a horse's head to create a bitless bridle which allows a rider to communicate commands to the horse via the rope halter by manipulation of the reins. To accomplish this task, the rope halter conversion attachment forms an angle between the halter's cheek knot and the point of attachment of the reins. When rein tension is applied by the rider, this angle causes a pivoting motion at the halter's cheek knot that pulls on the nose band and creates pressure on the horse's nose. The pressure communicates nonverbal commands to the horse.

A rope halter conversion attachment that attaches reins to a rope halter fitted to a horse's head to create a bitless bridle which allows a rider to communicate commands to the horse via the rope halter by manipulation of the reins. To accomplish this task, the rope halter conversion attachment forms an angle between the halter's cheek knot and the point of attachment of the reins. When rein tension is applied by the rider, this angle causes a pivoting motion at the halter's cheek knot that pulls on the nose band and creates pressure on the horse's nose. The pressure communicates nonverbal commands to the horse.

A headband comprising a fabric portion whose position is constrained at a trailing edge of a jaw of a horse by a nose strap resting on the face of the horse between the eyes and muzzle and a tag positioned by the headband on a head of the horse, avoiding a forelock and at least one ear of the horse, wherein a tension in a nosepiece portion of the headband is translated to a tension in a head portion of the headband which serves to pull the tag into contact with the head just behind a poll.
