Intergluteal hemorrhoid pad
A hemorrhoid relief product that provides an intergluteal spacer for the selective pressure adjustment, relief, and/or pressure application to portions of hemorrhoidal tissue in and or around the perianal. The product optionally includes adhesive to secure the device in place. The product includes a cavity for positioning over hemorrhoidal tissue to provide pressure adjustment, and may also include at least one nub for selectively applying and/or adjusting pressure to areas. The product may include a trapezoidal, or other, cross-section for easier fit, as well as a split end for adherence to multiple gluteal cheeks and anatomy in the relevant area.
Device for the trans-anal drainage of stool from the rectum of a patient and/or for the trans-anal application of inflowing liquid through a catheter-like element
A device for emptying stool from the rectum of a patient by means of a shaft body which is introduced into the bowel via the anus and is able to buckle or fold axially and radially, and which is provided with a dumbbell- or hourglass-shaped balloon body for assuring the transanal positioning of the device. The invention comprising a design of, and choice of material, for the shaft body and the balloon envelope, and by the positioning of the balloon body on the shaft body, wherein the axial deflection of the free forward end of the shaft body is limited and an uncontrolled deflection of the shaft is prevented, and the probability of perforation of the bowel wall under the effect of force acting on the shaft body from an axial direction is reduced by the intestinal tube.
HEMORRHOID KIT
A kit for providing pain relief to a user suffering from rectal, anal, colon discomforts, infections or diseases is disclosed herein. The kit for providing pain relief to a user suffering from rectal, anal, colon discomforts, infections or diseases includes at least one cushion-device, at least one cold therapy-device and one or more medicaments. In a preferred embodiment, the kit includes cushioned seats, rectal plugs, underwear with pockets for holding ice-packs therein, lotions, and suppositories.
Prosthesis For Enterostomy Patients
The prosthesis (1) for enterostomy patients comprises: a tubular element (2) of elongated shape and insertable substantially to size inside of a stoma (3) made on the abdominal wall (4) of a patient; a first obstruction means (8) to obstruct at least one area of the stoma (3), associated with a first end (6) of the tubular element (2) and movable between a restricted configuration (9) and an enlarged configuration (10) to allow the insertion/extraction into/from the stoma (3) respectively, and to prevent leakage of feces from the stoma itself; a first through duct (13) made on the tubular element (2), communicating with the first obstruction means (8) and having valve means (14) connectable to forced introduction/extraction means (15) of a fluid into/from the first obstruction means (8); a second through duct (19) made on the tubular element (2), communicating with the inside of the stoma (3) and having filtering means (20) for the outflow of gases from the stoma itself; and an external retaining element (11) associated with a second end (7) of the tubular element (2) opposite to the first end (6) and able to cooperate with at least one portion of the abdominal wall (4) and having at least two through holes (16, 21) arranged at the first duct (13) and the second duct (19); in which at least one of the tubular element (2) and the retaining element (11) is made at least partially of a flexible material.
VALVE SYSTEM FOR INFLATABLE DEVICES
Valves and valve systems are provided that are useful for integration with inflatable indwelling medical devices to prevent over-inflation of retention balloon.
Device for protecting the rectal anastomosis
The present invention relates to a device for protecting rectal anastomosis. The device of the present invention is a double type leakage prevention system composed of micro-villi of a head filter and a triple lumen catheter, and thus minimizes contamination of the anastomotic area from intestinal contents, thereby enabling successful healing of the rectal anastomotic area. The device of the present invention has a main tube with side holes, and thus the intestinal contents, even when passing through the head filter, are sucked into the main tube through the side holes, so that the intestinal contents can be effectively drained while being diverted from the anastomotic area. The device of the present invention is inserted through the anus after surgery and thus involves less risk of additional complications due to the installation of the device, and has advantages of low manufacturing costs due to the simplification of the structure and convenient use and handling. Furthermore, the device of the present invention serves as an existing support for protecting anastomosis, thereby alleviating patient discomfort due to anastomotic leakage.
Labor management methods for decreasing the duration of second stage labor
The present disclosure provides methods for decreasing the duration of second stage labor by managing the labor process. In one aspect, a tactile feedback device is positioned adjacent the perianal tissues. A mother's labor is monitored for the progression of the baby along the birth canal and adjustments are performed in response to the progression of labor to promote a vaginal childbirth. A perianal support device includes a perianal support member having a pressure surface configured for engagement with tissue adjacent an anal orifice and a pressure detecting system associated with the perianal support member to detect pressure indicative of pressure on the perianal tissue of a patient.
Incontinency abatement system
A body having first and second segments is shaped to include distal and proximal and intermediate portions. The segments are hollow to form a chamber. A hinge pin in the proximal portion rotatably couples the segments. A spring within the chamber urges the segments to an open orientation. A locking assembly within the chamber selectively holds the segments in the open orientation and selectively holds the segments in the closed orientation.
Three dimensional structural protection for female pelvic organs from garments
A thin disposable insert for adherence onto the crotch portion of a female undergarment for reducing pressure otherwise transferred from the undergarment to the external genital organs of the female is referred to as a panty guard. An anatomically correctly shaped pelvic organ support included within or adhered to the panty guard provides three dimensional support to the pelvic floor of a female. The pelvic organ support and the thin disposable insert provide a barrier between the female pelvic organs and abrasive fabrics of the undergarment. The pelvic organ support provides a porous space between tight-fitting non-breathable undergarments and the genitalia of the wearer, allowing air to flow across the wearer's skin. The panty guard with a pelvic organ support to prevent infection, lacerations, pelvic floor prolapse, and incontinence.
Device for protecting hemorrhoids
According to one aspect of the present invention there is provided a device, preferably a disposable device, for reducing pain, bleeding and/or distension of hemorrhoids during defecation comprising an anchor portion being anchorable against tissue of a rectum and being attached to a tubular portion sized and configured for outwardly biasing internal hemorrhoids (i.e. pushing them against rectal/anal wall tissue) and optionally external hemorrhoids when the anchor portion is preferably anchored against the rectum wall.
