There is provided an apparatus for attaching an item to a substrate, using a prong ring with a ring and two or more prongs. When attached, the prongs extends from the ring on a first side of the substrate through such substrate and being bent. A lower die is positioned to approach the first side of the substrate. An upper die is on a second side of the substrate. The substrate is placed in a manner substantially perpendicular to the attaching movement of the upper and lower dies and a first redirecting member for redirecting the prongs which are bent inwardly. The first redirecting member cooperates with an abutting member positioned along the approach of the prong ring towards the first side of the substrate for inhibiting movement of the prong ring towards the substrate while the first redirecting member is used.

Skin-Material Fixing Tool

There is provided a cover-material fixing tool. A cover-material fixing end member is configured to be attached on a cover-material. A clip is configured to be attached on a cover-material fixing end member. The cover-material fixing end member includes a tape member, a clip locking member, and a plurality of stoppers. The clip includes a locking portion for holding the clip locking member to allow the clip locking member to move in a longitudinal direction, and a locking protrusion protruding toward the clip locking member and configured to abut against the stoppers. The clip is movable between the adjacent stoppers to allow position adjustment thereof.

SEAT AND SEAT PRODUCTION METHOD

A seat of the present invention can prevent wrinkles of a cover at a curved part of an inward-suspending portion and improve attaching workability of inward-suspending member while keeping manufacturing cost low. An inward-suspending portion of a cover has a linear part and a curved part continuous with each other. An inward-suspending member has a rigid part attached to one edge of a main body. The main body of the inward-suspending member is superposed on the inward-suspending portion of the cover in a state where the rigid part of the inward-suspending member is spaced by a predetermined distance outwards from the end edge extending in the longitudinal direction of the inward-suspending portion and a part of the second edge on the upper side of the main body is overlapped to the cover. At a sewing portion, the main body is sewn continuously to the inward-suspending portion, from a linear part to a curved part.

Chair arm assembly

A chair assembly includes a back support arrangement including a back support arrangement, a seat support arrangement and a four-bar arrangement that includes a rearward end and a forward end that is adjustable between a raised and lowered positions, and an arm rest assembly adapted to support the arm of a seated user thereon and supported on the forward end of the four-bar arrangement, wherein the rearward end of the four-bar arrangement is pivotably supported from an arm support structure for pivotable movement about a substantially vertical pivot axis such that the forward end of the four-bar arrangement is moveable between a first position and second position located laterally outward from the first position, and wherein the substantially vertical pivot axis is located forwardly of a rearmost edge of an upwardly-facing surface of the seat support arrangement.

Control assembly for chair

A chair control assembly includes a base structure having first and second pivot points spaced from one another, a seat support structure coupled to the first pivot point, a back support structure coupled to the second pivot point and adapted to move between first and second positions, wherein the base structure does not move as the back support structure moves between the first and second positions, and a control link pivotably coupled to the seat support structure for rotation about a third pivot point and pivotably coupled to the back support structure for rotation about a fourth pivot point, wherein the third pivot point is rearward of the fourth pivot point when the back support structure is in the upright position, and the third pivot point moves forward relative to the fourth pivot point as the back support structure moves from the upright to reclined positions.
