Actuator-damper unit
An actuator-damper unit for use in orthotic or prosthetic devices. The actuator-damper unit includes a housing which may be fastened on the orthotic or prosthetic device and in which a cylinder is formed. A first piston is displaceably mounted in the cylinder and is coupled to a piston rod. The piston rod is disposed, via a first end, on the first piston and may be coupled, via a second end, to the orthotic or prosthetic device. The first piston separates two fluid chambers in the cylinder from each other and forms a piston-cylinder unit, wherein at least one further piston is coupled to the first piston in order to form at least one further, variable-volume fluid chamber.
COMPRESSION BAND FOR MITTENS AND EARS
Ear compression apparatus including an ear compression band having a substantially circular shape. The ear compression band can have a circumferential length and a compression band operably coupled with at least one-half (½) of the circumferential length of the ear compression band. The compression band can be coupled with less than nineteen-twentieths ( 19/20) of the circumferential length of the ear compression band, thereby forming a front portion of the circumferential length not having a compression band coupled therewith. Mittens having similar characteristics.

Stretch cord assemblies
A method, system, apparatus, and/or device for supporting a plantar flexion ridge. The method, system, apparatus, and/or device may include: a sheath; a stretch cord extending along an interior of the sheath from a first end of the sheath to a second end of the sheath; a first buckle attached to a first end of the stretch cord; a first sleeve configured to cover at least a portion of the first end of stretch cord; a second buckle attached to a second end of the stretch cord; and a second sleeve configured to cover at least a portion of the second end of stretch cord.
Postural platform training device
Disclosed herein are devices, systems and methods for redistributing the normal weight distribution of a user in a standing position. One example is a postural platform for either the left or right foot having a bottom surface defining a reference plane, a top surface configured as a foot contact surface and a perimeter side wall between the bottom and top surfaces. The top surface is rotated about a first rotational axis parallel to the reference plane and rotated about a second rotational axis orthogonal to the reference plane. In another example, a system includes first and second postural platforms that are independent of one another. In other examples, the device is a sandal, shoe, sneaker or any foot covering with a tops surface being at a complex angle to a bottom surface.
REHABILITATION DEVICE TO CORRECT POSTURE
A device and corresponding method to position a patient’s shoulders and hips into a proper posture alignment for neuromuscular re-education and rehabilitation is disclosed. The device may include a base for supporting a back of a patient, the base extending along a length in a longitudinal direction and a width in a lateral direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The device may include a first adjustable pad and a second adjustable pad opposite the first adjustable pad, and each of the first and second adjustable pads may be configured to independently move towards and away from the base in a vertical direction thereby urging respective shoulders of the patient against the base. The device may further include an adjustable strap configured to surround the waist and/or hips of the patient and thereby urge the patient against the base.
Digit wrapping assembly and method
Disclosed is a digit wrapping assembly configured to wrap and compress digits in a foot or hand. A method of using the digit wrapping assembly may include, in a positioning state of the digit wrapping assembly, the first digit being vertically offset from the second and third digits, and in a securing state of the digit wrapping assembly, the first, second, and third digits being substantially vertically aligned with one another. The digit wrapping assembly may be configured to compress at least two, three, or four digits.
Compression garment for one-hand operation
A compression garment comprises an elongated stretchable sleeve (1) which is adapted to be worn over a body part and a compression part (2) connected to the elongated stretchable sleeve (1). The garment has at least one closing part (3) for fixing the compression part (2) in a stretched state. Furthermore, the compression part (2) is shaped and sized to be wrapped around the circumference of the elongated stretchable sleeve (1), wherein the compression part (2) is adapted for positioning proximate to an outer surface of the elongated stretchable sleeve (1).

Computer-controlled therapy with an adjustable removable cast
Real-time cast sensor measurement outputs of a set of cast sensors that each measure a characteristic related to usage of an adjustable removable cast worn by a patient during treatment of congenital talipes equino varus (CTEV) are monitored. A cast usage anomaly relative to a treatment program prescribed for the patient with respect to wearing of the adjustable removable cast is identified according to the real-time cast sensor measurement outputs. Responsive to identifying the cast usage anomaly, real-time corrective treatment feedback is provided to the patient that instructs further and proper use of the adjustable removable cast to improve compliance with the treatment program prescribed for the patient.
