Contact Point Reduction Garment
The present disclosure provides a wearable garment comprising (a) a sheath having a first end and a second, wherein the sheath defines a cavity in a wearable position, wherein the sheath has a first opening at the first end, and wherein the sheath comprises a first material, and (b) one or more relief zones coupled to the sheath, wherein the relief zones comprise a second material, wherein a pressure distribution of the second material is greater than a pressure distribution of the first material.
Method For Securing An Orhopaedic Device And Orthopaedic
The invention relates to a method for securing an orthopaedic device to a body part of a wearer, the device comprising a base body, from which at least one deflection element with a contact surface protrudes, at least one belt and at least one securing element,
the method featuring the following steps: a) positioning the orthopaedic device on the body part, b) placing the belt onto the contact surface of the deflection element and c) fastening the belt on the securing element.
FIG. 1
FIG. 1
ORTHOSIS FOR A LOWER EXTREMITY OF A WEARER
An orthosis (1) for a lower extremity of a wearer, in particular for a foot and a lower leg of a wearer, preferably for wearers with diabetic foot syndrome or a neuropathic osteoarthropathy relating to the foot, comprising: a first orthosis part (2) which is to be arranged or which can be arranged on a lower leg of a wearer, a second orthosis part (3) which is to be arranged or which can be arranged on a foot of a wearer, and a third orthosis part (4) which connects the first and second orthosis part to one another, wherein
at least one of the orthosis parts (2-4) has a geometric-constructive design, at least in portions, possibly completely, which is individually configured on the basis of data describing a foot and/or a lower leg of a wearer.
PLATE FOR INSERTION INTO THE PALATE AND A METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION
The invention relates to a plate (1) for insertion into the palate, the plate (1) having wings (4) on both sides of an imaginary center plane (9) running perpendicular to the plate (1), the wings being designed such that they bear against the palate at least in regions. The two webs (3) run on both sides of the central plane (9), so that a free space (6) running between the webs (3) is formed for receiving the vomer (13).
AISLANTE DE PIE DIABETICO ULCERADO
The Aislante de Pie Diabéico Ulcerado (APDU) is made up of a frame (2) that covers from the distal portion of the thigh of the affected extremity to the soles of the feet and has spacer rings inside (33-36) of structures made of dry ice (carbon dioxide in a solid state, dry ice), memory foam, among others, atraumatic and non-allergenic when in contact with the user's skin, the frame (2) being divisible into at least two shells anterior casing (4) and posterior casing (3) that are fixed together by means of a series of hooks for closing the casing (20-24), and the frame (2) having expandable upper and lower support bands (5.29) of rubber that surround the extremity of the user; covered by a porous mesh (1) that simultaneously allows,
METHODS AND MECHANISMS FOR MAINTAINING AN ELECTRO-ACTIVE POLYMER IN A PRE-STRETCH STATE AND USES THEREOF
In some embodiments, the present invention is directed to an actuator which includes at least the following: a pre-stretched electro-active polymer film being pre-stretched in a single or biaxial planar directions; at least one first semi-stiff conductor attached to a first surface of the pre-stretched electro-active polymer film, wherein the first surface is parallel to the single or biaxial planar stretch directions; at least one second semi-stiff conductor attached to a second surface of the pre-stretched electro-active polymer film, wherein the second surface is opposite to the first surface; where the semi-stiff conductors are configured to: fix the pre-stretched electro-active polymer film in a pre-stretched state and allow the pre-stretched electro-active polymer film to expand; a pair of mechanical connectors coupled to each end of an active region of the pre-stretched electro-active polymer film.
UNIVERSAL KNEE BRACE HANDLE
A handle includes a handle body including a resiliently biased front cavity member disposed and a rear cavity member, together defining a cavity. The resiliently biased front cavity member and rear cavity member include one or more grooves disposed thereon. The cavity is configured to receive a portion of a knee brace. The knee brace may be selected, secured, and removed from cavity by moving the resiliently biased front cavity member. The front cavity member may be secured by using a releasable fastener.
ORTHOPEDIC DEVICE WITH MULTIPLE Q-ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
An orthopedic device, including an articulating frame; and, a plurality of straps. The articulating frame includes a thigh portion, a calf portion, and a center hinge. The thigh portion includes a semi-flexible curved thigh cuff having an upper end configured to wrap anterior to the leg and a lower end. The calf portion includes a semi-flexible curved calf cuff having a lower end configured to wrap posterior to the leg and an upper end. The center hinge assembly includes a center hinge element, a first Q-angle adjuster, and a second Q-angle adjuster. The first Q-angle adjuster is positioned between the center hinge element and the thigh portion and is configured to adjust a Q-angle of the thigh portion of the articulating frame. The second Q-angle adjuster is positioned between the center hinge element and the calf portion and is configured to adjust a Q-angle of the calf portion.
Ankle/foot orthosis
An ankle/foot orthosis with a foot part, which has a sole for receiving a foot, and with a shin part which, when fitted in place, bears on the frontal aspect of a shin and is connected to the foot part via a medially extending spring, wherein the spring, behind an ankle area, forms a hinge area that allows a movement of the shin part relative to the foot part in the anterior-posterior direction.
