APPARATUS FOR DAMPING INVOLUNTARY HAND MOTIONS
An apparatus for damping involuntary hand motions occurring in at least first and second directions is provided, the first direction being opposite the second direction. The apparatus is securable to a hand and a forearm and comprises at least a first body having a terminal movable in an internal space in the body. The body contains a Non-Newtonian fluid. A link connects the terminal to a first portion of the apparatus.
CLAVICLE FRACTURE INFANT BRACE
The present disclosure describes an infant brace for treating an infant with a fractured clavicle. The infant brace includes a torso portion for receiving the donning infant's torso, and an arm portion for receiving the donning infant's arm on the side coinciding with the fractured clavicle. The infant brace is formed from an elastic netting material. The infant brace provides effective immobilization of the infant's affected upper arm while minimizing risks of over-heating or causing pressure sores.
Arm stabilizer device and methods
A device for supporting a patient's arm includes a rail clamp configured to be secured to a rail or other structure on a table such as an operating table. The rail clamp includes a clamp body and a socket configured to receive a base of an attachment such as a support arm or lateral brace. The base may be inserted longitudinally in the socket on the rail clamp. A stabilizer bar extends from the base in some embodiments. The base is moveable in the socket such that the stabilizer bar may be raised or lowered relative to the rail clamp. One or more modular attachments for supporting various regions of a patient's arm may be secured to the stabilizer bar or the rail clamp.
Shoulder Monitoring and Treatment System
A system and method is used to monitor, control, and/or provide feedback relative to one or more factors related to a patient's body, such as a shoulder, pursuant to a treatment process. The system monitors, controls, and/or provides feedback relative to shoulder factors including shoulder motion, shoulder muscle contraction, and external pressure on the shoulder.
ROBOTIC RADIAL ARM BOARD FOR USING IN CARDIAC PROCEDURES
Embodiments of the present invention include a radial arm board for use during a cardiac procedure with an upper arm board and a lower arm board. The radial arm board includes one or more motors to control the position of the arm with a control panel. The components of the radial arm board can be moved laterally, raised, and lowered, thus allowing multiple degrees of freedom for the device. The radial arm allows comfort for the patient, accessibility of the arm to the doctor, and eliminates the need for manual manipulation of the radial arm board.
Immobilizer preform, immobilizer device, and method of forming the same
Aspects of the invention include preforms used to be formed into an immobilizer for use with a patient. The preform includes a preform member that is formed from a thermoplastic material and a filler material. The preform member is relatively rigid at a first temperature and formable at an elevated second temperature. The preform member is opaque at the first and second temperatures. The preform also includes at least one indicator associated with the preform member. The at least one indicator is formed from a thermoplastic material and is opaque at the first temperature and translucent at the second temperature. The at least one indicator can provide a visual indication of readiness to form the preform into the immobilizer upon heating the preform member to the second temperature at which the indicator is translucent.
DEVICE FOR IMMOBILIZATION
In order to create a simple device for immobilizing the human body or parts of the body in a manner that is gentle on the patient, in particular for arranging medical targeting devices, markers or surgical instruments for image-guided, minimally invasive surgery, said device having at least one immobilization element (1) which can be positioned on the surface of the body, the immobilization element (1) is made of a bonded nonwoven fabric (2) which can be fastened by means of a micro hook-and-loop fastener (3).

SLEEP SACK FOR INFANT CALMING/SLEEP AID
An infant calming/sleep-aid device is provided that includes a sleep sack into which an infant can be placed, the sleep sack having an upper portion and a lower portion, the upper portion adapted to enclose the infant's torso and arms, the lower portion adapted to enclose the infant's hips, legs, and feet, wherein the upper portion of the sleep sack is wider than the lower portion to allow for infant to be swaddled while wearing a sleeper garment.
WEARABLE DEVICE FOR SNORING
A wearable device for snoring including a head support and harness configured to retain the head support between the chin and the collar bone of the user-wearer when worn. The harness having an adjustable attachment mechanism for a variety of adjustment lengths around the neck of the user-wearer. The device provides a means by which to deter snoring and provide a more restful sleep while offering a variety of positions of the head with respect to the body.
