Flexible wearable foot sling
A wearable foot sling for providing focal compression to portions of a wearer's foot, toes and leg, includes a sock member formed from an elastomeric fabric; a plantar surface portion having a thickened fabric pad; a plurality of tubes configured for engaged passage of the wearer's toes; a plurality of longitudinal fibers connecting the plurality of tubes with the thickened fabric pad; a circumferential band forming a tension path beginning at a dorsum portion, wrapping laterally around at a lateral longitudinal arch portion and gradually widening as it runs medially at a medial longitudinal arch portion, and continuing upwards toward the dorsum portion to form a closed loop; the circumferential band continuing laterally and superior across an anterior ankle joint portion, wrapping around a lower tibia portion and spiraling to the top of the sock member; and wherein the circumferential band applies tension along the tension path.
Radial cardiac catheterization board
Embodiments of the present description provide a medical apparatus for use in supporting a patient lying in a supine position during a radial cardiac catheterization procedure. More particularly, embodiments of the present description provide an arm board a patient's arm during a radial cardiac catheterization procedure. The arm board has a base member having a substantially planar support surface on which the patient's arm can be stabilized during a catheterization procedure and at least one shield member affixed to the base member and extending away from the support surface. Desirably, the base member has both a radiolucent portion and a radiopaque portion and the shield member is a radiopaque material, thereby reducing and/or eliminating a doctor's exposure to radiation during radial cardiac catheterization procedures without impairing the ability to obtain the necessary medical images. Also provided is a medical apparatus and a method for its use.
Spine board with interior channels
A spine board includes a main body having a top surface and an opposing bottom surface that define a thickness of the main body, a first end and an opposing second end that define a length of the main body and a first longitudinal side and a second longitudinal side that define a width of the main body. Longitudinal and lateral channels are located between the top and bottom surfaces in the main body and contain either cartridges that house straps for securing the patient to the board or a key to affix a cervical collar to the main body.
Protective covering for preexisting affixed medical equipment safety straps
A disposable cover used to protect preexisting affixed safety straps on medical equipment. The cover includes: 2 protective panels and hoop and loop fasteners on the inside for securing the cover to the preexisting affixed strap and hook and loop fasteners on the outer surface to allow the cover to secure to the opposing cover. This disposable protective cover is slipped over the preexisting affixed safety straps that are attached to the medical equipment prior to being used to secure a patients' body/limb to the medical equipment for a procedure, allowing the strap to be protected from infectious fluids.
IMMOBILIZATION MASK
The present invention relates to an immobilization mask comprising a first layer comprising a low temperature thermoplastic material, the first layer having a first side and a second side; at least one dimensionally stable attachment section connected to the first layer; and at least one deformable molding member connected to the first side or to the second side of the first layer. The present invention also relates to a method of immobilizing a patient's body part, comprising the steps of applying an immobilization mask comprising a first layer having a low temperature thermoplastic material and at least one dimensionally stable attachment section connected to the first layer, wherein at least one deformable molding member is placed between the first layer and the patient's head; and molding the first layer tightly to the patient's head and to the molding member.
POSITION-RETAINING DEVICE
In an initial configuration a device comprises a casing containing: a plurality of beads, a rupturable first container containing one or more isocyanates and a rupturable second container containing one or more polyols, wherein in the final configuration the casing is substantially filled by a polyurethane in which the plurality of beads are embedded. In an intermediate configuration the device is transformed from the initial configuration to a final configuration by rupturing the first container and rupturing the second container so that the one or more isocyanates react with the one or more polyols in a reaction that forms the polyurethane. As the polyurethane is formed during the reaction the polyurethane surrounds the plurality of beads. The device may be molded as the polyurethane is formed in the casing.

PROFILE FOR THE ATTACHMENT OF AN IMMOBILISATION MASK
Assembly of a carrier (3) for supporting a patient, an immobilisation mask (2) and connection means (13, 21, 22) for connecting the carrier (3) with the immobilisation mask (2), wherein the connection means (13, 21, 22) contain a profile (1) that is provided on a first side to be connected to the immobilisation mask (2) and on a second side contains first connection means (21) for connecting the immobilisation mask (2) to the carrier (3), the connection means (13, 21, 22) comprising carrier connection means (13) on the carrier (3), the first connection means (21) being provided to engage the corresponding carrier connection means (13), wherein a swivel and a swivel anchor point (36) are provided to cooperate such that when swivelling the swivel arm (34) around the swivel anchor point (36) towards the carrier (3), the first connection means (21) are guided to the connected state.
Hand suspension fixture
Described is a hand suspension fixture for recovering from skin grafts on human hands. The hand suspension fixture generally comprises five retention fixtures each adapted to connect to one of five flexible members at a first end. At a second end, each of the five flexible members can be attached to a distal end of five respective human finger tips, such as the finger's distal digits. The human hand is adapted to hang from the five flexible members whereby the five retention fixtures are spaced apart to splay the five fingers (thumb included) when the human hand is hanging from the suspension fixture.
Head neck immobilization wrap
An immobilization apparatus having at least one or more straps that engage a surface; wherein at least one of the straps comprises a force gauge to determine the amount of force applied to a patient immobilized with said straps; wherein the position of the patient is replicable for treatment of radiation and other head or neck treatments.
