Contactless magnetic probe sensing and impedance imaging of liquid and solid excrement in diapers and other underclothing
A system, apparatus, and method for detecting the presence and amount of liquid and/or solid excrement in diapers or other undergarments, using a miniature ultra-low power near-field electromagnetic probe, applicable circuitry, and additional sensor types, that is hand-held or attached to the outside of said garments
FEMALE EXTERNAL URINARY DEVICE AND ASSEMBLY
Disclosed is a female external urinary device useful in managing urine output of a female, such as for surgical use. The urinary device generally comprises a core having a suction channel and an interior reservoir fluidically communicating with the suction channel, an absorbent layer, and a fabric cover. Desirably, the urinary device includes a moderately absorbent soaker layer disposed inwardly with respect to the core. A urinary device assembly includes the core and a pelvic belt that may be secure to the core and positioned to collect urine from a female patient.
Fecal incontinence device for positioning in the lower rectum
A device for treating fecal incontinence in a subject is provided. The device includes a plug configured for positioning mostly within an anal canal of the subject.

Textile sensor for the detection of liquids and temperature, and method of making same
A textile device for detecting liquids comprising a matrix fabric obtained by knitting, a first non-insulated conductive wire and a second non-insulated conductive wire knitted with the matrix fabric, a source of electric energy connected to the non-insulated conductive wires in order to create a first electric circuit and to have a potential difference between the non-insulated conductive wires, an electrical resistance measuring device configured to measure the electric resistance R in the first electric circuit. The textile device is configured in such a way that, when the non-insulated conductive wires electrically connect by means of a liquid, the electrical resistance measuring system measures a variation of electric resistance R in said first electric circuit. Furthermore, at least one insulated conductive wire is provided connected to a source of electric energy in order to create a second electric circuit.

Incontinence Detection System and Detectors
An incontinence detector includes a layer of material having uniformly distributed electrically resistive elements which impart a baseline electrical resistance to the layer. The layer also has an actual electrical resistance. The detector also includes an RFID tag having a first and second leads which extend into the material without contacting each other. The tag is responsive to deviations of the actual resistance from the baseline resistance.
System and method for securing an underpad on a mattress
An apparatus comprises a mattress. An underpad is positioned on the mattress such that a lower surface of the underpad is in contact with the mattress. A securing assembly is interposed between the mattress and the underpad. The securing assembly comprises a plurality of securing member positioned on the lower surface of the underpad, and a plurality of mating securing members positioned on the mattress. Each of the plurality of securing members engages a corresponding mating securing member so as to be removably coupled thereto, thereby immovably positioning the underpad on the mattress.
