SLEEPING MOUTHPIECE
20230025274 · 2023-01-26 ·

Disclosed herein is a sleeping mouthpiece which can prevent separation during sleeping by wrapping the palate such that the sleeping mouthpiece gets in contact with the palate and can be adjusted according to the teeth arrangement by adjusting an upper mouth fit to the upper teeth and a lower mouth fit to the lower teeth back and forth. The sleeping mouthpiece includes: an upper mouth having an upper outer guide, an upper inner guide and an upper occlusal surface to form an upper teeth fitting part to which the upper teeth are fit, so that an upper rigid panel is inserted into the upper mouth; and a lower mouth having a lower outer guide, a lower inner guide and a lower occlusal surface to form a lower teeth fitting part to which the lower teeth are fit, so that a lower rigid panel is inserted into the lower mouth, wherein a hard palate support is connected to the upper end of the upper inner guide and comes into contact with the intraoral hard palate to support the intraoral hard palate, sliding rods are formed at both sides of the upper occlusal surface in order to connect the upper mouth and the lower mouth with each other so that the upper mouth and the lower mouth can be moved back and forth, and the sliding rods are inserted and guided into guide slits formed at both sides of the lower occlusal surface. The sleep mouthpiece can prevent separation of the upper mouth by the power of the tongue to push out of awareness during sleeping since supporting the intraoral hard palate while getting in contact with the intraoral hard palate, and can be adjusted according to various kinds of teeth arrangements since the upper mouth and the lower mouth can move back and forth by coupling of the sliding rods and the guide slits.

MOUTHGUARD

A mouthguard for protecting a wearer's teeth from bruxism, the mouthguard comprising: (a) a cavity configured to receive at least a portion of a first row of teeth of the wearer; (b) a guide extending towards the wearer's second row of teeth, the guide being configured to guide the jaw of the second row of teeth such that in use, when the wearer brings their teeth together, front teeth of the opposed jaws are brought substantially into alignment with one another; and (c) a bite region at a base of the guide configured, in use, to abut the front teeth of the second row of teeth when the wearer brings their teeth together.

Method and device for treating sleep related breathing disorders

The present disclosure relates to a method for increasing an amount of air and/or oxygen passing through an airway of an individual, reducing airway restrictions in an individual, increasing airway patency and/or maintaining airway patency in an individual, decreasing snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, or a combination thereof, in an individual. The method may comprise stimulating at least four regions of the individual's neck, where two of the at least four regions of the individual's neck are anterior triangle regions on opposing sides of the individual's midline, and another two of the at least four regions of the individual's neck are anterior triangle regions on opposing sides of the individual's midline, posterior to the two of the at least four regions. The present disclosure also discusses related devices and systems.

Prone position pillow system

A prone position pillow system has a head support portion, an elongated torso component with a cavity, and an insert pillow that can be inserted into the cavity to form an empty space below. The torso component includes a sagittal oriented face hole and an air tunnel having side openings sized and dimensioned to allow a patient to insert hands into the space below the face hole. A travel pillow rests on the head support portion to support a user's face. An adjustable leg elevation component and a cylindrical component support the user's legs in a comfortable position. The head support portion has one or more grooves that can hold a breathing tube. The torso component can have a second cavity designed to create space for the user's genital area.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT OF OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA UTILIZING CRYOLYSIS OF ADIPOSE TISSUES
20230218433 · 2023-07-13 ·

A heat exchanger is disclosed for causing cryolysis of adipose tissue of a human tongue. The heat exchanger includes a body having cooling channels for circulating fluids therein. The body forms a contact surface that contacts a portion of the dorsal surface of the tongue and a portion of the base of the tongue. The heat exchanger includes a pair of side walls extending from the body and forming a pair of side contact surfaces that are dimensioned so that they contact the dorsal and lateral surfaces of the tongue in a manner so as to constrict the tongue when the contact surface is in contact with the tongue. A method of treatment for apnea using the heat exchanger and/or administering a chemical adipolysis formulation/vasoconstriction agent is also disclosed.
