Vaginal Drug Delivery Device
The present invention relates to a vaginal drug delivery device configured for placement within the vagina, comprising a housing, at least one reservoir comprising a biologically active compound that is not normally administered via the vagina and means for the controlled release of the compound from the reservoir into the vagina. Suitably the vaginal device further comprising means for gathering physiological data of a person carrying the device in her vagina. Alternatively, the vaginal drug delivery device configured for placement within the vagina, comprises a housing and means for gathering physiological data of a person carrying the device in her vagina. The invention further relates to oxybutynin for use in the treatment of urinary and bladder problems, in particular urge incontinence, wherein oxybutynin is administered to a person in need of treatment by means of the vaginal device, and to other therapeutic compounds that are administered via the vaginal device for use in their corresponding indications.

INTRAUTERINE DEVICE WITH RETRIEVAL THREAD
An intrauterine contraceptive system may include a contraceptive intrauterine device, a retrieval thread permanently attached to the intrauterine device and an insertion device for inserting the intrauterine device into a uterus. The system may also include a release thread releasably coupled with the intrauterine device. The intrauterine device may be deployable out of a distal end of the insertion device and may be configured to change from a delivery configuration when housed in the insertion device to a deployed configuration when deployed in a uterus. The retrieval thread and the optional release thread may be at least partially housed within the insertion device during insertion of the intrauterine device into the uterus. The release thread may extend from the intrauterine device through the insertion device to an attachment point at or near a proximal end of the insertion device.

FORNIX MANIPULATOR
A fornix manipulator includes a collar and stabilizer. The collar has a first end and a second end, the second end having an opening and diameter greater than the first end and the first end having an opening to receive a cervix into the collar. The stabilizer has a base portion defining a guide hole and a plurality of prongs extending from the base portion to contact the first end of the collar.
Inserter
The invention relates to an inserter for an intrauterine system, comprising a handle (3) having a longitudinal opening (8) at its first end, said opening (8) having a longitudinal axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the inserter, a first end (8a) and a second end (8b), a movable slider (5) arranged in said longitudinal opening (8) and having a first end (5a) and a second end (5b), a plunger (2) attached to the handle (3), an insertion tube (6) arranged around the plunger (2) having a first end and a second end, with its second end attached to the slider (5), wherein the inserter further comprises locking means for reversibly locking the intrauterine system in relation to the plunger (2) via a removal string of the intrauterine system, said locking means being controllable by the slider (5) and/or the insertion tube (6).
Pessaries for prolapse alleviation
Disclosed are devices for supporting a prolapsed organ. An exemplary device comprises a ring-like body optionally having a naturally occurring substantially flat and substantially planar compact configuration, the ring-like body configured with a size suitable for insertion into a vagina and to be expanded by a support element such that in the expanded configuration an outer periphery of the ring-like body contacts a portion of the vagina and stretches at least a portion of a prolapsed vaginal wall, thereby substantially alleviating prolapse of at least one pelvic organ. The device optionally includes a support element comprising two moveably connected arms configured to support the ring in the expanded configuration.
Method and apparatus for endometrial ablation in combination with intrafallopian contraceptive devices
Systems and methods for treating a female reproductive system are disclosed. An intrafallopian device, which may be at least partially non-conductive, is delivered to a fallopian tube. A subsequent uterine ablation may be performed. The ablation element may include insulators at portions of the ablation element contactable with a fallopian tube or intrafallopian device.
