FLUID COLLECTION CANISTER WITH INTEGRATED MOISTURE TRAP
A moisture trap for removing liquid from a fluid drawn from a tissue site treated with reduced pressure and systems and methods for using the same are described. The moisture trap may include a barrier adapted to be fluidly coupled to and define an indirect fluid path between a fluid reservoir and a reduced-pressure source. The barrier may have a hydrophilic surface. The moisture trap also may include a sump adapted to receive condensation from the barrier.
Recovery of Ethylene Oxide from Sterilization Process
The invention relates to a process for the recovery and recycling of ethylene oxide (EO) after use in a sterilization process. The process involves the steps of introducing a mixed gas stream containing EO, nitrogen, oxygen, CO.sub.2, water, and a few other trace elements. The system includes integrated EO concentration sensors to determine the concentration of the EO in the gas stream. The system includes a series of compressors to pressurize the gas stream, and chillers or condensers to cool the gas stream to condense the EO out of the gas stream. The system includes temperature and pressure sensors to determine the conditions in the gas stream, and a control system that evaluates the temperature and pressure data and controls the compressors and chillers to achieve the properties to maximize the condensation of EO out of the gas stream.
DESALINATION UNIT WITH ELECTRICITY GENERATION
A system for processing saltwater or brackish water while recovering energy otherwise wasted in electricity generation by a natural gas generator or turbine. Heat in the generator exhaust is used to directly heat and process the water in the saltwater or brackish water into high quality steam, separating the majority of salt and contaminants from the water, and leaving potable water that can be permitted and released to the environment or sold for agricultural or industrial use such as oilfield activities. The system also captures and liquefies CO.sub.2 in the generator exhaust.
SEPARATION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
A separation system for separating constituents from a solution by utilizing a carrier gas and a separation method thereof are disclosed. The separation system includes an evaporator, a solution distribution unit connected to the evaporator for distributing the solution into the evaporator, and a gas distribution unit connected to the evaporator for distributing the carrier gas into the evaporator. The solution is countercurrent to the carrier gas and upon contact, at least one constituent of the solution is vaporized and separated from the solution.
CATALYZED SCR FILTER AND EMISSION TREATMENT SYSTEM
Provided is a catalyst article for simultaneously remediating the nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter, and gaseous hydrocarbons present in diesel engine exhaust streams. The catalyst article has a soot filter coated with a material effective in the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) of NOx by a reductant, e.g., ammonia.

The barrier may have a hydrophilic surface. The moisture trap also may include a sump adapted to receive condensation from the barrier.
Method for condensing a CO2 vapor stream beyond the frost point
A method for cryogenic cooling without fouling is disclosed. The method comprises providing a first cryogenic liquid saturated with a dissolved gas; expanding the first cryogenic liquid into a separation vessel, separating into a vapor, a second cryogenic liquid, and a first solid; drawing the vapor into a heat exchanger and the second cryogenic liquid and the first solid out of the separation vessel; cooling the vapor against a coolant through the heat exchanger, causing the vapor to form a third cryogenic liquid and a second solid, the second solid dissolving in the third cryogenic liquid; and combining the second cryogenic liquid and the first solid with the third cryogenic liquid, producing a final cooled slurry. In this manner, the cryogenic cooling is accomplished without fouling.

HYDROGEN GAS GENERATING SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH BUFFER TANK
A hydrogen gas generating system that heats a liquid reactant such as water, then channeling the resultant heated reactant to a reaction chamber containing a solid hydride. The chemical reaction between the heated liquid reactant and solid hydride forming hydrogen gas. This hydrogen gas is then filtered and regulated before being stored in a buffer tank. Hydrogen gas from the buffer tank can then be supplied to a fuel cell to produce electricity as and when needed, such as when a battery goes below a predetermined level. The pressure of the buffer tank is measured and used to ascertain when the hydrogen gas generation should start and stop. A pressure and temperature of the reaction chamber is measured as a safety precaution, whereby the reaction will be stopped if the pressure and temperature exceeds predetermined values.
