RECTAL PROBE SYSTEM FOR DETECTING, MONITORING, AND TREATING HEAT STROKE
Systems and methods are described for detecting heat stroke and monitoring cooling treatment of heat stroke. The system includes a rectal temperature probe including a flexible length and an indicator positioned on the flexible length to indicate when the probe has been inserted to a target insertion depth. A controller is configured to receive a signal from the probe indicative of a sensed temperature and to determine whether heat stroke is likely based on the sensed temperature. When monitoring cooling treatment, a cooling rate is calculated based on periodically sensed temperatures and, based on the calculated cooling rate, the system indicates whether the heat stroke is being adequately treated or if the current treatment methods are insufficient.
Device and method for inducing lypolysis in humans
A device includes light sources, electromagnetic field generators, and vibration components to apply a variety of treatment regimens to a living animal organism, including a human person or a body part of a person. The light and electromagnetic therapy are applied at frequencies which have physiological effects, and which can be combined to induce lipolysis, stimulate muscle, and achieve other effects. Feedback is used to dynamically adjust the intensity, duration, and other parameters of the light, electromagnetic, and vibration treatment modalities.
AESTHETIC METHOD OF BIOLOGICAL STRUCTURE TREATMENT BY MAGNETIC FIELD
Combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field are described. The treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. The methods are focused on enhancing a visual appearance of the patient.
Deployable compact surgical and biological apparatus and methods of use
A collapsible containment apparatus (36) with a first hub (21), a second hub (22), a plurality of articulated arms (23, 25) coupled to the first hub (21), a plurality of support arms (24) coupled to both the second hub (22) and the articulated arms (23), and a flexible canopy (73) carried by the articulated arms (23). The apparatus (36) is collapsed by relative movement of the two hubs (21, 22) away from one another, and deployed by relative movement of the hubs (21, 22) toward one another. When the apparatus (36) is deployed the canopy (73) creates a closed interior environment, which may be sterile.
A METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT TO HELP A MOTHER WITH HER BABY TO FIND OPTIMAL LIFE AND CARE RHYTHM
An intelligent baby caring method and arrangement helps to recognize and maintain emotional interaction between mother and her baby and to improve the baby's life rhythm and calm and soothe him/her automatically when needed and help him/her to fall asleep and to wake up at the most convenient time and way. The aim is to help the mother with her baby to find optimal life and care rhythm. The invention is focused on a platform (101) with many sensors, sensor sheet (120), a transducer to produce acoustic and mechanical vibrations (14) and an airflow blower (132). Sensors are also fixed to the mother (10) and in the care room (198). A sleep/activity graph of the baby and sleep/emotion graph of the mother are measured and tracked with multimodal sensors and an artificial intelligence unit (200) processes audio, motion and airflow actions given to the baby from the platform to help the baby to move from an improper to optimal sleep/activity level.
MAGNETIC RESONANCE APPARATUS WITH A PATIENT VENTILATOR AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A PATIENT VENTILATOR
A magnetic resonance (MR) apparatus may include a patient ventilator, a cooler, and at least one electronic component. The patient ventilator may include at least one airflow generator configured to generate an airflow and at least one ventilation duct. The cooler may be configured to cool the at least one electronic component. The cooler may include at least one cooling element coupled to the patient ventilator.
Vein Heating Assembly
A vein heating assembly includes a sleeve that has a first portion which is hingedly coupled to a second portion. The first portion is positionable in an open position to have a patient's arm positioned therein and the first portion is positionable in a closed position to surround the patient's arm. A plurality of nozzles is each integrated into the sleeve. A plurality of heating elements is each coupled to the sleeve to warm the patient's arm when the heating elements are turned on thereby increasing blood flow in the arm for enhancing the appearance of veins. A steam unit is integrated into the sleeve to produce steam that is delivered onto the patient's arm for increasing blood flow in the arm for enhancing the appearance of veins.
Exercise Device
An exercise device for seated exercising and heat therapy includes a chair, to which a plurality of biasers is operationally engaged. A pair of footrests and a pair of handrests are operationally engaged to the chair. Each footrest and each handrest is engageable to an associated foot and an associated hand of the user, respectively. The footrest is operationally engaged to a respective biaser so that the respective biaser is positioned to resist movement of the footrest relative to the chair. The handrest is operationally engaged to a respective biaser so that the respective biaser is positioned to resist movement of the handrest relative to the chair. The footrests and the handrests thus are useful in exercising feet and hands of the user, respectively. A plurality of heating elements, which is engaged to the chair, the footrests, and the handrests, can warm an abdomen and joints of the user.
PHYSICAL MODALITY TREATMENT CHAIR
A therapeutic chair is disclosed with moving parts that permit a user to implement a regimen of physical modality treatment, including non-axial vertebral decompression, flexion extension, distraction, rotation, and lateral flexion.
METHOD OF TREATING CANCER
There is provided with a method of treating cancer. A chemokine is administered in combination with performing a hyperthermia on the cancer. This improves an effect of the hyperthermia on the cancer. Performing the hyperthermia includes locally heating the cancer.
