PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING TALL OIL
The present disclosure relates to a process for treating a feedstock containing tall oil, the process including separation of a light stream from the feedstock, followed by removal of a heavy fraction from the feedstock, in which process the separation of the light stream from the feedstock a fractionator is used and at least one product is collected from the light stream. The disclosure also relates to an apparatus for use in the process and use of a fractionator in dehydration of a feedstock containing tall oil.
REDUCING CONTRAILS DURING OPERATION OF AIRCRAFT
A method is described for reducing contrails during operation of an aircraft (100, 100) having a heat engine 10. The method includes inducing a condensation of moisture contained in the exhaust gas (A) of the heat engine by mixing at least a portion of the exhaust gas with ambient air (U) of the aircraft as well as separating the condensed-out water on the aircraft. Also described is an aircraft (100, 100) having a heat engine (10). The aircraft includes at least one nozzle (30) which is adapted for conducting exhaust gas (A) from the heat engine of the aircraft at least partially into ambient air (U) of the aircraft and thus to produce a gas mixture, and at least one separator device (40) for separating condensed-out water from the gas mixture.
Condensing vapored fluid
In an example, a condenser apparatus to condense vapored fluid has a gas inlet, a mesh, a cooling element, and a gas outlet. The mesh is configured to carry a layer of condensed fluid. The cooling element is configured to cool the layer of condensed fluid. The mesh is configured to let pass through vapored fluid and to create bubbles including vapored fluid in the layer of condensed fluid.
High pressure carbamate condenser
Described are a high pressure carbamate condenser, urea plant, and urea production process. The high pressure carbamate condenser as described is of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger type with a tube bundle and has a redistribution chamber connected to tubes of the tube bundle and to a duct. The duct extends between the redistribution chamber and the shell.
METHOD OF OPERATING A DISHWASHER
A method for removing moisture from moist air in an appliance, such as a treating chamber of a dishwasher, wherein a drying system includes a condensing system and heat exchange systems that enhance condensation with both ambient air and cold water. The method includes storing cold water for use during a cycle of operation; recirculating the moist air in the treating chamber through a condenser; during the recirculating, flowing ambient air over the condenser; and during the recirculating and after the flowing ambient air, flowing the cold water over the condenser.
Recovery of ethylene oxide from sterilization process
The invention relates to a process for the recovery and recycling of ethylene oxide (EO) after use in a sterilization process. The process involves the steps of introducing a mixed gas stream containing EO, nitrogen, oxygen, CO.sub.2, water, and a few other trace elements. The system includes integrated EO concentration sensors to determine the concentration of the EO in the gas stream. The system includes a series of compressors to pressurize the gas stream, and chillers or condensers to cool the gas stream to condense the EO out of the gas stream. The system includes temperature and pressure sensors to determine the conditions in the gas stream, and a control system that evaluates the temperature and pressure data and controls the compressors and chillers to achieve the properties to maximize the condensation of EO out of the gas stream.
Electric motor-operated food processor
An electric motor-operated food processor has a base unit having an electric motor and a preparation vessel that can be arranged on the base unit. A heater and agitator are allocated to the preparation vessel. The food processor can have a distillation apparatus that can be connected with the preparation vessel. The distillation apparatus has a steam receptacle, a condenser and a liquid dispenser. The preparation vessel and steam receptacle are connected in terms of flow when the preparation vessel and distillation apparatus are in a connected state.
Method of operating a dishwasher
A method for removing moisture from moist air in an appliance, such as a treating chamber of a dishwasher, wherein a drying system includes a condensing system and heat exchange systems that enhance condensation with both ambient air and cold water. Optionally, the method can also include a charge or charges of warm, ambient air or ambient air with moist air during recirculation of moist air.
