Pipeline Integration Oil Recovery
A method may include: heating a hydrocarbon contaminated waste in a first heating unit, vaporizing at least a portion of water and hydrocarbons in the hydrocarbon contaminated waste and generating: a first vaporized stream and a first bottoms stream, heating the first bottoms stream in a second heating unit; vaporizing at least a portion of hydrocarbons in the first bottoms stream and generating: a second vaporized stream and a second bottoms stream, condensing the first vaporized stream to form a first condensed stream; and condensing the second vaporized stream to form a second condensed stream.
Gas-water separation system and methods
A gas-water separation system may be used for removing water from a wet gas compressed in a water-injected contact-cooled gas compressor. The gas-water separation system may include a tank constructed to hold a quantity of water; a heat exchanger coupled to the tank and constructed to extract heat from the water to chill the water when the water is present within the tank; an inlet port constructed to inject a flow of the wet gas into the chilled water when the water is present within the tank, the chilled water being operative to condense water vapor from the wet gas and reduce the dew point of the wet gas to yield a chilled compressed gas; a biological control system constructed to suppress biological activity in the tank; and a discharge port operative to discharge the chilled compressed gas.
Method and device for the production of polyamide 6 with low extract content
The present invention relates to a method for the production of polyamide 6 with low extract content and a device for it. Here, a melt of non-extracted polyamide 6 is cleaned from monomer and oligomers in a degasification device in vacuum, wherein the vapor being withdrawn from the degasification device by the vacuum generation device is cleaned from monomer, oligomers and optionally water at first in a direct condenser which is operated with liquid ε-caprolactam and subsequently in a pre-separator which is cooled with a coolant, before it reaches the vacuum generation device. A particularly preferable variant of the method envisages the usage of the melt of polyamide 6 with low extract content so prepared in a direct process of spinning into textile fibers and/or filaments.
PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR QUENCHING A REACTOR EFFLUENT STREAM
A process and apparatus cool and remove catalyst from a hot vaporous reactor effluent stream by feeding the hot vaporous reactor effluent stream comprising catalyst and a first quench liquid stream to a first quench chamber. The hot vaporous reactor effluent stream is directly contacted with the first quench liquid stream to cool the hot reactor effluent stream and wash catalyst therefrom into the first quench liquid stream. The first quench liquid stream and the vaporous reactor effluent stream are passed together through a bed while disengaging catalyst from the vaporous reactor effluent stream and transferring catalyst into the first quench liquid stream.
Plant for dealcoholising alcoholic beverages
A plant for dealcoholising alcoholic beverages includes a rectification column having at least one inlet for the alcoholic beverage, a sump and a top. The rectification column is operable such that dealcoholised beverage can be removed from the sump and exhaust vapour can be removed from the top. At least one evaporator is configured to supply the rectification column with vapour. A condenser arrangement condenses the exhaust vapour removed from the top of the rectification column, at least in part. The plant further includes a heat pump which can operate the evaporator as well as the condenser arrangement. A method for dealcoholising alcoholic beverages in a rectification column is also disclosed.
Method of operating a dishwasher
A method for removing moisture from moist air in an appliance, such as a treating chamber of a dishwasher, wherein a drying system includes a condensing system and heat exchange systems that enhance condensation with both ambient air and cold water. The method includes storing cold water for use during a cycle of operation; recirculating the moist air in the treating chamber through a condenser; during the recirculating, flowing ambient air over the condenser; and during the recirculating and after the flowing ambient air, flowing the cold water over the condenser.
MODULAR HOUSING SYSTEM FOR A PROCESS CHILLER
A modular process chiller and method of manufacturing a modular process chiller. A pump and tank are positioned in a fluid module configured for receiving fluids from an external source. A refrigeration module comprises a condenser arranged diagonally with a heat exchanger on one side and a fan on the opposite side, wherein the heat exchanger is in cool air flow and air is pulled through the condenser. Nonpermeable and air permeable panels are positioned to direct airflow through the refrigeration module. An electronics module is coupled to the refrigeration module in a configuration to provide user access. In processing systems, a process chiller is selectively configured for positioning proximate a process machine but configured for receiving fluid from external sources and maintaining a fluid temperature, flow rate and fluid pressure independent of the positioning.
REDUCING CONTRAILS DURING OPERATION OF AIRCRAFT
A method is described for reducing contrails during operation of an aircraft (100, 100) having a heat engine 10. The method includes inducing a condensation of moisture contained in the exhaust gas (A) of the heat engine by mixing at least a portion of the exhaust gas with ambient air (U) of the aircraft as well as separating the condensed-out water on the aircraft. Also described is an aircraft (100, 100) having a heat engine (10). The aircraft includes at least one nozzle (30) which is adapted for conducting exhaust gas (A) from the heat engine of the aircraft at least partially into ambient air (U) of the aircraft and thus to produce a gas mixture, and at least one separator device (40) for separating condensed-out water from the gas mixture.
Method of operating a dishwasher
A method for removing moisture from moist air in an appliance, such as a treating chamber of a dishwasher, wherein a drying system includes a condensing system and heat exchange systems that enhance condensation with both ambient air and cold water. Optionally, the method can also include a charge or charges of warm, ambient air or ambient air with moist air during recirculation of moist air.
