Systems and methods for extracting liquid
A system for extracting liquid is provided. The system includes a vacuum source and a nozzle having a wettable plunger and a vacuum tube connected in flow communication with the vacuum source. When the plunger is partly submerged in the liquid and the vacuum source is actuated to initiate a flow of gas through the vacuum tube, droplets of the liquid separate from at least a portion of the unsubmerged part of the plunger and become suspended in the gas flow. The system also includes a cooling structure positioned adjacent to the vacuum tube to facilitate solidifying the droplets suspended in the gas flowing through the vacuum tube.
Injectable suspension comprising 3-beta-hydroxy-5-alpha-pregnan-20-one, and a method for the manufacturing thereof
The present invention relates to aseptic suspensions, physically stable and injectable through a 25G needle or thinner, comprising crystalline, non-micronized 3-beta-hydroxy-5-alpha-pregnan-20-one particles, a mixture of acylglycerols and cholesterol, processes for preparing crystalline, non-micronized, 3-beta-hydroxy-5-alpha-pregnan-20-one suitable for such suspensions, as well as methods for manufacturing such suspensions.
Botanical super heated processing equipment
An extraction, reaction, and purification apparatus that comprises an entire unit designed to react, extract, purify, and isolate compounds and individual analyte from one or more source material(s), which are contacted with a process fluid to form an absolute, the unwanted components are then further removed in a sequence of steps, using separation chambers, until a sufficient purified extract is obtained. The apparatus further comprises a high-speed solvent separation unit to evaporate the solvent from the extract. There are two methods for using different solvent/sequences to obtain between 90-99% pure extracted and purified material. The process also includes bioconversion of waste products, making it a waste free, environmentally friendly system.
Chromatography of polymers with reduced co-crystallization
A temperature gradient chromatography, and apparatus for the same, said method comprising the following: a) dissolving a composition comprising at least one polymer in at least one solvent, to form a polymer solution; b) injecting at least a portion of the polymer solution onto a support material and wherein the support material has a CI from 0.70 to 1.50; c) cooling the support material at a rate greater than, or equal to, 0.2 C./min; d) increasing the temperature of the support material to elute at least some of the polymer; e) generating the chromatogram.
System with a direct contact desublimating heat exchanger and temperature regulation
A process to prevent fouling using a desublimating heat exchanger is disclosed. An outlet stream from the desublimating heat exchanger may be split into a plurality of parallel streams. The parallel streams may be sent through a plurality of discrete unit operations, and the unit operations may change the temperature of at least one of the parallel streams. Parallel streams of differing temperature may emerge from the unit operations. The parallel streams which are of a similar temperature may be mixed to form a warm stream and a cool stream. The warm stream and the cool stream may be sent to a mixing chamber. A mixed stream of substantially uniform temperature may emerge from the mixing chamber, and the mixed stream may be recycled back to the desublimating heat exchanger. The mixing chamber may be separate from the desublimating heat exchanger, or the parallel streams of differing temperature may be mixed in the desublimating heat exchanger.
Crystallizer or reactor and method for continuously growing crystals or continuously managing a reaction
The invention relates to a processing device in the form of a crystallizer or reactor comprising a tube, at the opposite end regions of which an inlet and an outlet are provided for a crystallization or reaction medium. A helixical web is provided which runs about a longitudinal axis of the tube and which rests against the inner face of the tube casing, and the web is mounted so as to be rotatable about the aforementioned longitudinal axis of the tube. The device also has a drive for rotating the web.
PROCESS FOR MAKING SOLID METHYLGLYCINE DIACETATE (MGDA) ALKALI METAL SALT, AND SOLID PARTICLES
Process for making solid methylglycine diacetate (MGDA) alkali metal salt (a), said process comprising the steps of (A) providing a 35 to 60% by weight aqueous solution of said MGDA salt having a temperature in the range of from 50 to 90 C., (B) adding 0.01 to 2% by weight of a particulate solid with a pore volume in the range of from 0.25 to 0.75 cm.sup.3/g, determined by nitrogen adsorption in accordance with 66134:1998-02 (b), the percentage referring to the content of (a), (C) crystallizing (a), (D) removing said crystalline (a) from the mother liquor.
METHOD FOR MAKING COFFEE PRODUCTS CONTAINING CANNABIS INGREDIENTS
The present disclosure is directed to methods of making coffee products containing cannabinoids that are extracted from Cannabis plant. According to one embodiment, the method includes the steps of (a) extracting cannabinoids from the Cannabis plant; and (b) admixing the cannabinoids into a coffee product. The disclosed methods produce coffee products that possess the benefits of both coffee and Cannabis plant. The methods can be used to produce different coffee products including single-serve coffee pods, ground coffee, espresso and coffee extracts. The methods are used to make coffee and other products with desired and consistent amount of Cannabis-derived compounds.
Systems and methods for separating heavy water from normal water using acoustic pressure shock waves
A method of separating heavy water from normal through application of acoustic pressure shock waves to a fluid including heavy water and normal water and recovering separated normal water.
Continuous extractor, concentrator, dryer, and isolator
Continuous extraction concentration and isolation units are constructed with at least one extraction chambers containing extractable material. Without disruption of total fluid flow in the unit: an extraction chamber completely depleted of extract can be refilled with fresh extractable material or can be replaced with an extraction chamber containing fresh extractable material. Extract are continuously separated from one or more solvents in expansion chambers and removed. All solvents can be retained within the unit. One or more compressors circulate the fluids through the extraction chambers, the expansion chamber, and a condenser, where the expansion chamber and the condenser can be coupled as a heat exchanger. One or more isolators can be included for selectively removing components that are extracted from the plant material without disruption of the process and provide the removed components in concentrated or pure form.
