A pressure injuries therapeutic support surface is illustrated. The surface comprises an integrated system designed for a concurrent physical and psychoneuroimmunological approach over a user, wherein the system comprises one or a plurality of independent fluid-filled main chambers, made of waterproof, flexible, extendable, and elastic material and at least two accessory chambers connected to each main chamber with at least with two free-flow conduits. The system is managed through a powered mechatronic array with its own hardware and software based on microcontrollers for the simultaneous operation of specific multidisciplinary devices.

LIPOSOMES, EMULSIONS, AND METHODS FOR CRYOTHERAPY
A method and system in accordance with a particular embodiments of the technology includes applying a substance onto skin of a human subject. The applied substance can include a freezing point depressant and a liposome, an oil-in-water emulsion, a water-in-oil emulsion, or an oil-in-oil emulsion and can be configured to protect or target tissue. The substance and a surface of the skin can be cooled using the applicator to treat acne and other skin conditions.
TREATMENT SYSTEM HAVING GENERATOR AND FLUID TRANSFER CARTRIDGE
A treatment system includes a generator and a fluid transfer cartridge. The fluid transfer cartridge includes a cartridge shell defining a cartridge cavity between a front face and a rear face. The front face includes an opening, and the cartridge cavity is visibly exposed through the opening. The fluid transfer cartridge includes a syringe barrel disposed within the cartridge cavity, and a handle that extends from the front face over the opening. The syringe barrel can be visibly exposed on a side of the handle. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Targeted Temperature Management Systems, Pads, and Methods Thereof
Disclosed are systems, pads, and methods for targeted temperature management. A pad can include a multilayered pad body, a pad inlet connector, and a pad outlet connector. The pad body can include a plurality of separable longitudinal portions, wherein each longitudinal portion of the longitudinal portions includes a conduit, a patient-interfacing layer over the conduit, and an insulation layer over the conduit opposite the patient-interfacing layer. The conduit can be configured to convey a temperature-controlled fluid as a supply fluid from a hydraulic system or convey a return fluid back to the hydraulic system. The patient-interfacing layer can include a thermally conductive medium configured for placement on a patient’s body. The insulation layer can include an insulative foam. The pad inlet connector can be configured for charging the pad with the supply fluid while the pad outlet connector can be configured for discharging the return fluid from the pad.
Self-Sealing Membrane Connector for Gel Pads
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and a targeted temperature management (TTM) pad to facilitate thermal energy transfer between TTM fluid and a patient. The TTM pad includes a pad portion for placement on the patient and a fluid delivery conduit. The fluid delivery conduit can include a delivery conduit connector at a proximal end thereof and a fluid return conduit extending away from the pad portion. The fluid return conduit can include a return conduit connector at a proximal end thereof, and a connector coupled to a distal end of each of the fluid delivery conduit and the fluid return conduit. The connector can include a membrane configured to cover openings of both of the fluid delivery conduit and the fluid return conduit or includes multiple membranes, wherein the one or more membranes can include a piercing corresponding to each of the fluid delivery conduit and the fluid return conduit.
Medical gel warming systems and methods
A warming device and system for warming medical gel to a comfortable temperature prior to application to a patient. A warming chamber configured to receive one or more gel containers (e.g., packets or bottles) disposed in a horizontal orientation with a cover sealing the chamber. Multiple protrusions and/or depressions disposed on an inside surface of the chamber can be used to soften thermal conduction of heat to the gel containers and inhibit hot spots. A flexible heating element and an intermediate thermal conducting member can extend up one or more sides of the warming chamber. Multiple buttons can be used to set different gel temperature settings.
THERAPEUTIC PRESSURE, THERMAL, AND/OR OTHER TREATMENT MODALITY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods described herein include a pressure delivery component that has a pressure applicator configured to selectively apply therapeutic pressure to a treatment portion of a user body, and also includes a thermal delivery component that has a thermal applicator that is a configured to apply thermal treatment to the treatment portion. The thermal applicator may be removably disposable in operative relationship with the pressure delivery component in a use configuration of the treatment delivery component such that the thermal applicator is disposable between the treatment portion and the pressure applicator when the treatment delivery component is disposed on the treatment portion in the use configuration. Moreover, the pressure applicator is operable to apply pressure to the thermal applicator to enhance apposition of the thermal applicator to the treatment portion.
Systems, Apparatus and Methods for Leak Prevention with Targeted Temperature Management Gel Pads
A targeted temperature management (TTM) system is disclosed that includes a TTM module to provide a TTM fluid, a fluid delivery line (FDL) including a FDL hub, a fluid delivery lumen and a fluid return lumen, and a pad to facilitate thermal energy transfer between the TTM fluid and a patient, the pad including a fluid delivery conduit extending away from the pad portion and including a first leak prevention valve configured to enable the TTM fluid to flow in a distal direction while preventing flow in a proximal direction, and a fluid return conduit extending away from the pad portion, the fluid return conduit including (i) a return conduit connector at a proximal end thereof, and (ii) a second leak prevention valve configured to enable the TTM fluid to flow in the proximal direction while preventing flow in the distal direction.
PATIENT TARGETED TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND METHOD
A medical device and method used for patient temperature management, wherein the device is designed to cool the surface of the patient's head and blood flow to the head and neck of a patient after trauma in order to prevent inflammation and reduce swelling in the brain, is portable with a rapid cooling capability feature, does not require an ICU setting, eliminates certain complications that could affect the patient otherwise, and can be easily placed on the patient with little training or expertise.
