A drive circuit configured to provide a drive signal to a filter circuit configured to receive the drive signal and provide a translated drive signal. An ultrasonic transducer is cooperatively arranged with the flow chamber, and transducer includes at least one piezoelectric element configured to be driven by the current drive signal to create an acoustic standing wave in the flow chamber. At least one reflector opposing the ultrasonic transducer to reflect acoustic energy.
ADJUSTABLE PARTICLE SEPARATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING SAME
An adjustable separation system for separating particles suspended in a liquid and method of using same are disclosed. Embodiments are directed to an adjustable separation system that includes an adjustable particle separation channel including: a plurality of plate electrodes; and an adjustable inclination system configured to adjust inclination of the plate electrodes through a range of angles, or an adjustable spacing system configured to adjust spacing between adjacent plate electrodes. The adjustable separation system allows the particle-laden liquid to traverse the plate electrodes within the separation channel, thereby separating the particles from the liquid while using the Boycott effect. These and other embodiments achieve separation of particles suspended in a liquid via an adjustable separation system and, optionally, without the need for manual/technician adjustments, which can result in improved efficiency, quicker separation/operating time, and reduced power consumption and cost.
AUTOMATIC CLEANING OF LAMELLA PLATE SETTLER
A cleaning system for cleaning a lamella plate settler includes at least one mechanical cleaning device; a suspension device adapted to suspend the mechanical cleaning device; wherein the suspension device includes a displacement device for lowering and raising the at least one mechanical cleaning device for mechanical cleaning of a lamella plate positioned below the cleaning system. By providing a frame supporting the at least one cleaning device; wheels attached to the frame and adapted to move on rails, the wheels including driving wheels and non-driving wheel, and a sensor, preferably an inductive sensor, adapted to sense the rotational position of the driving wheels, the lamella plate settler can be automatically be cleaned without emptying the basin of water, thus allowing cleaning during operation. A lamella plate settler and a method of cleaning a lamella plate are also provided.
PARTICLE SETTLING DEVICES
Settling devices for separating particles from a bulk fluid with applications in numerous fields. The particle settling devices include a stack of cones with a small opening oriented upwardly or downwardly. The cones have an interior surface that is convex. These devices are useful for separating small (millimeter or micron sized) particles from a bulk fluid with applications in numerous fields, such as biological (microbial, mammalian, plant, insect or algal) cell cultures, solid catalyst particle separation from a liquid or gas and waste-water treatment.
A Wastewater Treatment Device
A wastewater treatment device including: a vessel having an inlet for receiving an influent stream; and a separator disposed within the vessel. The wastewater treatment device further including: a grit pot connected to the separator; a level sensor configured to output a signal indicative of the level of grit within the grit pot; one or more fluidizing nozzles disposed within the grit pot and configured to deliver a jet of fluid from a fluid supply to fluidize grit accumulated on the lower surface of the grit pot; an extraction outlet connected to a pump for extracting grit fluidized by the fluidizing nozzles; and a controller in communication with the level sensor, wherein the controller and the pump are configured to activate the fluidizing nozzles based on the signal received from the level sensor. There is also described a wastewater treatment device including: a vessel having an inlet for receiving an influent stream; and a separator disposed within the vessel. The wastewater treatment device further including a grit pot connected to the separator, a level sensor configured to sense the level of grit within the grit pot, and a support extending into the grit pot from outside of the grit pot. The level sensor may be movably connected to the support and is movable along the support between an operating position in which the level sensor is positioned within the grit pot and a maintenance position in which the level sensor is positioned outside of the grit pot so as to be accessible by a user.
Continuous dewatering recirculation system with integral coal combustion residual high flow plate separator
The system for a continuous dewatering recirculating for removing particulate such as coal combustion residue from a water stream. The system includes multiple dewatering and recirculation containers, each having a submerged flight conveyor and lamella settlings plate located therein, at least one dewatering and recirculation container receives ash water stream overflow.
Flow back separation system with dispersing device
A flow back system for separating solids from a slurry recovered from a hydrocarbon well. The system includes a V-shaped tank with a first series of baffles configured to cause the settling of solids that are moved by a shaftless auger to a conduit fluidly connected to a dispersing device mounted over or adjacent to a shaker such as a linear shaker. The shaker receives and processes the output of the dispersing device and dewaters solids. The underflow of the shaker is recirculated through the tank.
Settler with a settler plate that includes a hollow support
The present disclosure relates to settler plates for a plate settler. The settler plates generally include a hollow support with a hollow interior to receive clarified liquid from a flow channel between adjacent settler plates. An orifice is formed through the hollow support to direct clarified liquid from the flow channel into the hollow interior. The orifice can be positioned such that clarified liquid can flow upwardly out of the flow channel and downwardly through the orifice into the hollow interior. The hollow support can be integrally formed with the settler plate. For example, the hollow support can be formed by bending a tab extending from an end of the settler plate. The tab can be bent into a hollow support with a cross section that is generally polygonal.
WASTE FLUID TREATMENT APPARATUS AND PROCESSING WATER REGENERATION SYSTEM
A waste fluid treatment apparatus includes a sedimentation tank that stores the processing waste fluid with the processing debris contained therein, an inflow port provided on the sedimentation tank for introduction of the processing waste fluid into the sedimentation tank, an acidification unit configured to acidify the processing waste fluid to be introduced from the inflow port into the sedimentation tank, whereby the processing debris is allowed to settle at a higher rate compared with a rate at which the processing debris would settle if the processing waste water is neutral, and an outflow port provided on the sedimentation tank for discharge of acidic supernatant that is obtained by allowing the processing debris in the processing waste fluid to settle in the sedimentation tank from the sedimentation tank.
