COUPLABLE PORTABLE DEVICE FOR THE THERMAL MEDICAL TREATMENT OF SKIN
A portable device for the thermal medical treatment of skin allows a treatment attachment to be coupled to a mobile data-processing unit, preferably a smartphone or a tablet, via an interface, wherein a housing of the treatment attachment which extends over the treatment attachment is provided with a heating element directly underneath the surface facing away from the data-processing unit in the coupled state, the heating element being coupled to a temperature sensor, wherein the heating element, with the interposition of a control unit, is connected to the electrically conductive interface or, via a Bluetooth connection, to the data-processing unit in such a way that the heating element is supplied with power via one or more rechargeable batteries integrated into the data-processing unit in such a way that the heating element can be heated to a temperature predefined via the control unit.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SURGICAL INDUCTION HEATING
Systems containing an electrically conductive implant, and a device for treating the implant via induction heating are described. The device includes v. The one or more coils contain an electrically conductive material. The one or more coils can contain one or more connecting portions, and one or more heating portions. Typically, the one or more heating portions have an overall shape that conforms to one or more exposed surfaces of implants. Methods of treating an electrically conductive implant in a patient's body using the device are also described. The method includes placing the heating portions of the one or more coils in a position that is in close proximity to or in contact with one or more exposed surfaces of an implant, and activating the power supply to provide an alternating magnetic field to heat the implant.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE TREATMENT OF EYE CONDITIONS
Systems, methods, and devices used to treat eyelids, meibomian glands, ducts, and surrounding tissue are described herein. In some embodiments, an eye treatment device is disclosed, which includes a scleral shield positionable proximate an inner surface of an eyelid, the scleral shield being made of, or coated with, an energy-absorbing material activated by a light energy, and an energy transducer positionable outside of the eyelid, the energy transducer configured to provide light energy at one or more wavelengths, including a first wavelength selected to heat the energy-absorbing material.
TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT ADHESION BETWEEN APPLICATOR AND SKIN DURING COOLING OF TISSUE
A method and apparatus in accordance with a particular embodiment of the present invention includes applying adhesive onto skin of a human subject. An applicator is then brought into contact with the adhesive such the adhesive is disposed between the applicator and the subject's skin. The applicator is activated to cool a tissue region via the subject's skin, via the heat-transfer surface of the applicator, and via the adhesive. While the tissue region cools, the adhesive also cools, thereby reversibly strengthening adhesion between the subject's skin and the heat-transfer surface and forming a strong bond therebetween. The strengthened adhesion inhibits any movement of the applicator relative to the skin. After cooling the tissue region, the adhesive is warmed, thereby weakening the adhesion which allows the heat-transfer surface of the applicator to be easily separated from the skin.
COMPOSITIONS, TREATMENT SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR FRACTIONALLY FREEZING TISSUE
Compositions and formulations having one or more anti-freeze proteins for use with devices and systems that enable tissue cooling, such as cryotherapy applications, for alteration and reduction of adipose tissue are described. Embodiments of the technology are further directed to methods, compositions having one or more anti-freeze proteins and devices that protect non-targeted cells from freeze damage during dermatological and related aesthetic procedures requiring sustained exposure to cold temperatures. Further embodiments of the technology include systems for enhancing sustained and/or replenishing release of a freezing point depressant having one or more anti-freeze proteins to a treatment site prior to and during cooling applications.
Treatment systems and methods for affecting glands and other targeted structures
Treatment systems, methods, and apparatuses for treating acne, hyperhidrosis, and other skin conditions are described. Aspects of the technology can include cooling a surface of a patient's skin and detecting changes in the tissue. The tissue can be cooled a sufficient length of time and to a temperature low enough to affect glands or other targeted structures in the skin.
Vaginal Drying Air Pump and Method, Process and System For Cooling & Drying Vagina: Reducing Excessive Moisture and Excessive Heat Within the Vaginal Area
The present invention and method, process & system comprises a vaginal drying air pump device/apparatus of a barrel (outer tube), inner tube, easy gripping rubber pipet/syringe air bulb and a permanent rubber seal or rubber gasket; constructed from a re-designed tampon plastic applicator with a uniquely new function and new objective, which is capable of reducing the excessive moisture and excessive heat in the vagina that causes and contributes to bacterial and vaginal yeast infections. The vaginal pump and method/process and system are designed with a manual hand-operated, squeezable syringe air bulb to produce a consistent flow of air within the vagina to dry excessive moisture and reduce excessive heat. In preferred embodiments, the various components of the vaginal pump are constructed into 2-pieces that are easily screwed together at the connecting threads by the end user. The vaginal drying air pump is reusable, easy to clean and portable.
AESTHETIC METHOD OF BIOLOGICAL STRUCTURE TREATMENT BY MAGNETIC FIELD
Combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field are described. The treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. The methods are focused on enhancing a visual appearance of the patient.
COLD TREATMENT APPARATUS
There is a chiller for cooling a human body down to dissolve fat on a person's body. There is a device which includes a housing. The housing has at least one handle, and is configured to at least partially house a cold plate. The cold plate is also chilled by a chiller disposed inside of the housing. The chiller is at least partially disposed in the housing and is configured to have access to at least one vent. The at least one vent is positioned on the housing. In at least one embodiment, the at least one vent is positioned opposite the cold plate.
DEVICE FOR COOLING ANESTHESIA BY CHILLED FLUIDIC COOLING MEDIUM
A hand-held or wearable device for cooling tissue of an eye of a patient is disclosed. In one aspect, the device includes a reservoir having fluid therein and a support connected to the reservoir and configured to be positioned on a face of the patient.
