IFS AND GRIT BOX FOR WATER CLARIFICATION SYSTEMS
A grit box to separate particulate matter from an influent stream. The grit box has an upper portion and a lower portion with a deflection plate separating the upper portion from the lower portion. It includes a hopper for accumulation of particulate matter settled from the influent stream. The hopper has a drainage pipe and a valve therebetween to control passage of material from the grit box into the drainage pipe. A mechanism delivers the influent stream at a predetermined and substantially constant flow rate. The influent stream is separated into two or more streams which are recombined under pressure in the grit box in a turbulent mixing zone. The fluid rise rate in the grit box is lower than the settling rate of the particulate matter to be separated from the influent stream.
Container-type apparatus with a suspended particle system for wastewater treatment
A container-type apparatus for wastewater treatment with a suspended particle system, including one or multiple biological reaction zones. The biological reaction zones can be facultative, anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic and at least one of the biological reaction zones is a suspended particle system. Particles in the suspended particle system act as the carrier of microbiota and offer better conditions for them to grow. The apparatus adopts a box structure, such as a container type, which is convenient to move, flexible to assemble, and can be used multiple times. Based on actual requirements, this apparatus can also be a structure type. The suspended particle system can increase the concentration of microorganisms significantly, improve the ability to bear impact load, produce less sludge, and without sludge expansion.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING SOLID IMPURITIES FROM A FLUID
The disclosed method and apparatus separates solid impurities from a fluid containing solid impurities. The method and apparatus allow the introduction of influent comprising a fluid containing solid impurities into a plurality of channels and allowing at least a portion of the solid impurities initially present in the influent to settle on upward-facing surfaces of a plurality of plates forming the channels or slide down the upward-facing surfaces, while permitting fluid, which has been depleted of at least a portion of solid impurities, to flow upward toward the top edges of the plurality of plates. The influent is introduced into the plurality of channels in a manner that inhibits a disrupting or disturbing of the solid impurities, which have separated from the influent.
Solids removal system and method
The system and method is directed to improved separation or clarification of solids from a solids-laden liquid, including the removal of low gravity solids. A liquid to be treated is introduced into the inlet of a solid-liquid separator modified to include one or more sources of vibrational energy. The liquid is directed through a conduit within the separator. This conduit can be configured into a tortuous flow path to assist in the separation of solids from the liquid, the tortuous path being interconnected between two separation towers. Vibrational energy and gas sparging is applied to the flow path. As solids fall out of solution, they are collected. The clarified liquid is also collected. A vacuum can be applied to the system to assist in moving the solid-liquid mixture through the system and to provide vacuum clarification. Electrocoagulation electrodes can also be employed.
SEPARATION APPARATUS AND USE THEREOF
Separating apparatus, comprising a sedimentation settler and a collection vessel disposed underneath and being in fluid communication with the sedimentation settler, the collection vessel forming a receiving chamber having an outlet at or adjacent to the chamber bottom and having an inlet opening, wherein the collection vessel is arranged such the flow direction of the fluid in the area underneath the sedimentation settler is substantially in line with the direction of the channels of the sedimentation settler.

Compact water treatment device
The invention relates to a water treatment device comprising a mixing tank comprising an inlet path (12) for an effluent to be treated, an optional inlet path (13) for reagents, a stirring source (14) for generating a turbulent stir in a given volume of said tank, an extraction path (15) for discharging sludge, and an extraction path (16) for treated effluent, and further comprising above and adjacent to the given volume, but below the treated-effluent outlet path, a settling structure (17) comprising a plurality of ducts extending from the bottom to the top and arranged in the form of a baffle so that no particle can flow through said layer along a rectilinear path.
Settler with a settler plate that includes a hollow support
The present disclosure relates to settler plates for a plate settler. The settler plates generally include a hollow support with a hollow interior to receive clarified liquid from a flow channel between adjacent settler plates. An orifice is formed through the hollow support to direct clarified liquid from the flow channel into the hollow interior. The orifice can be positioned such that clarified liquid can flow upwardly out of the flow channel and downwardly through the orifice into the hollow interior. The hollow support can be integrally formed with the settler plate. For example, the hollow support can be formed by bending a tab extending from an end of the settler plate. The tab can be bent into a hollow support with a cross section that is generally polygonal.
