Continuous dewatering recirculation system with integral coal combustion residual high flow plate separator

The system for a continuous dewatering recirculating for removing particulate such as coal combustion residue from a water stream. The system includes multiple dewatering and recirculation containers, each having a submerged flight conveyor and lamella settlings plate located therein, at least one dewatering and recirculation container receives ash water stream overflow.

Flow control cartridge

A conduit assembly for a separation device is described herein. The conduit assembly includes a first conduit segment, a second conduit segment, and a removable flow control insert or cartridge, which may be easily installed and uninstalled without removing other components of the conduit assembly from the separation device. The flow control insert may be installed within a top opening of the second conduit segment and includes a projection that extends into the conduit assembly and obstructs or restricts fluid flow at the juncture between the first and second conduit segments.

Stormwater Filter

A stormwater filter comprising: a vessel having an inlet and an outlet; and a screen disposed within the vessel and arranged to divide at least part of the vessel into an upper section and a lower section. The stormwater filter further comprises: a flow splitter positioned adjacent the inlet of the vessel and/or a substantially vertical screen disposed adjacent the outlet in the upper section of the vessel. The flow splitter comprises an inclined leading edge and first and second deflecting surfaces extending from the leading edge. The first and second deflecting surfaces are angled relative to one another so as to direct incoming flow laterally away from an axis between the inlet and the outlet. The vertical screen comprises first and second screen portions which are angled relative to one another. The first and second screen portions are each hingedly connected to the vessel and are detachably coupled to one another at their distal ends.

Cyclonic inlet diverter

A cyclonic inlet diverter for initiating the separation of a multi-phase inlet fluid flow comprises an enclosed tubular body mounted crosswise within a larger separator vessel. The inlet diverter includes a splitter plate positioned within a center portion of the tubular body and configured to split the inlet flow into a first stream and a second stream, and a swirl plate positioned on each side of the splitter plate with angled surfaces configured to increase the cyclonic motion of the first and second streams within the tubular body. The inlet diverter further includes elongate apertures formed through bottom sidewall portions of the tubular body on each side of the splitter plate, an axial aperture formed through opposing end caps of the tubular body, and at least one radial aperture formed through lateral sidewall portions of the tubular body proximate each opposing end cap.

Turbulating Apparatus For A Drywell

A turbulating apparatus for a drywell includes a frusto-conical sidewall having an upstream inlet and an opposed downstream outlet. The sidewall has an inner surface on which a plurality of vanes are fixed and extend helically between the inlet and outlet. The apparatus hangs from a top of the drywell and turbulates water to prevent the aggregation of debris inside the drywell.

Hydrodynamic separator

A separator unit includes a tank defining an internal volume and having an inlet and an outlet. An insert separates the tank into an upper chamber and a lower chamber. The insert includes a weir at an upper side to define an intake area for receiving an influent liquid, a first opening in the intake area for delivering liquid down into the lower chamber and a second opening on an opposite side of the weir for delivering liquid from the lower chamber back up into the upper chamber. The separator may include one or more of the first opening being of arcuate shape, a perforated shroud extending downward from the insert within the lower chamber and/or an upflow pipe extending downward from the second opening into the lower chamber, a bottom of the upflow pipe covered, and a slot opening in a sidewall of the upflow pipe.

Hydrodynamic separator for stormwater treatment

A method, system, and apparatus directed to an innovative approach for the treatment of stormwater utilizing hydrodynamic separator assembly designed to maximize flow movement for more efficient sediment removal and maximize clearance space within assembly to facilitate cleaning and increase storage capacity of trash, debris, and sediment.

Remote submerged chain conveyor

A remote submerged chain conveyor system separates particles from a coal ash/water slurry from remotely located boiler units. A tank forms an ash holding section, a dewatering section, and an ash settling section. The ash holding section receives the slurry with first and second opposite ends. The dewatering section dewaters the slurry. The settling zone is an elongated trough connected with the ash holding section at one end with a discharge drain trough at near an opposite end. The tank sections are in a generally linear arrangement. A drag chain moves along the ash settling conveying the particles settling from the slurry to the dewatering section opposite to a net flow of water. A flocculant supply line upstream of the ash settling section configured for adding a flocculant promoting an agglomeration of particles into flocs. The flocculant supply line is located in a mixing section with an agitator.

Temporary production system and separator with vapor recovery function
09803459 · 2017-10-31 · ·

A temporary hydrocarbon well production system receives flow from a hydrocarbon well through a production line connected to the well. The production line flows into a sand separator, which has a fluid outlet connected to a choke manifold and a solids outlet connected to a sand dump line. A transportable and vertical closed separator receives flow through two separate lines from the choke manifold and from the sand dump line, which respectively flow into independent diffusing structures in the closed separator. Gas, vapors, volatile organic compounds, etc. are captured within the closed vessel and are discharged through a vapor discharge line attached to a vapor recovery unit for either further processing or incineration through a flare. A liquid dump line discharges liquids from the closed separator to at least one closed tank.

Liquid refinement
09782699 · 2017-10-10 · ·

An apparatus for refining a liquid stream using 180 degree redirection and inclined plates. The apparatus includes a first flow chamber, a second flow chamber, and a separation chamber. The first flow chamber directs the liquid stream downwards in a first direction at a first velocity, the second flow chamber directs the liquid carrier upwards in a second direction opposite the first direction, and the separation chamber is disposed between the first flow chamber and the second flow chamber. The separation chamber includes a redirection portion that has inclined plates across which the liquid carrier flows and, as the liquid slows from a first velocity to a second velocity, the solid particles fall out of the liquid carrier and collect in the collection portion of the separation chamber.
