Multi-layer Heating Mat for Providing Therapeutic Heat to an Area of the Body
A heating mat that, by making use of a multilayered structure, is able to provide therapeutic benefits to a user. The heating mat has a heating layer, PEMF emitters, and a primary therapeutic layer. The primary therapeutic layer uses therapeutic materials that facilitate treatment. The heating layer functions as a flexible heating element for the heating mat. The PEMF emitters are devices which generate pulses of EM energy that are known to have therapeutic properties. The PEMF emitters is mounted adjacent to a first face of the heating layer. The primary therapeutic layer is mounted adjacent to a second face of the heating layer, opposite to the PEMF emitter.
Composite scaffolds for thermal ablation of metastatic cancer cells

The biocompatible porous scaffold includes a biocompatible polymer and pores configured to capture metastatic cells.
METHODS, APPARATUSES, AND SYSTEMS FOR INDUCTIVE HEATING OF FOREIGN METALLIC IMPLANTS
Methods, apparatuses, systems, and implementations for inductive heating of a foreign metallic implant are disclosed. A foreign metallic implant may be heated via AMF pulses to ensure that the surface of the foreign metallic implant heats in a uniform manner. As the surface temperature of the foreign metallic implant rises, acoustic signatures may be detected by acoustic sensors that may indicate that tissue may be heating to an undesirable level approaching a boiling point. Once these acoustic signatures are detected, the AMF pulses may be shut off for a time period to allow the surface temperature of the implant to cool before applying additional AMF pulses. In this manner, the surface temperature of a foreign metallic implant may be uniformly heated to a temperature adequate to treat bacterial biofilm buildup on the surface of the foreign metallic implant without damaging surrounding tissue. The AMF pulse treatment can be combined with an antibacterial/antimicrobial treatment regimen to reduce the time and/or antibacterial dosage amount needed to remove the biofilm from the metallic implant.

INDUCTION HEATING APPLICATIONS
A system and method for inductive heating applications includes positioning one or more inductive heating elements in a location, delivering electromagnetic radiation, by a radiation source, to heat at least a portion of the one or more inductive heating elements, and detecting, by a detector, the heat generated by the one or more inductive heating elements. The system and method also include controlling, by a processing unit, a condition based on the detected heat.
HEATED PATIENT TUBE ASSEMBLY
A heated patient tube assembly that carries and warms fluids to a desired temperature includes an elongated hollow tube and a heating assembly at least partially embedded within the tube for heating the tube and fluids carried in the tube. The heated patient tube assembly can be selectively used in any combination of three different modes: a first mode in which the heating assembly is connected to a control assembly, a second mode in which the heating assembly is powered wirelessly, and a third mode in which the tube is inserted into and heated by an external warming device.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING HEAT AT TARGET AREA OF PATIENTS BODY
The embodiments herein provide a method and system is provided for generating and distributing heat at a target area of a patient's body for treating lesions, tumors, cancers, body pain and nerve pain. The generated heat and the tissue temperature are monitored in real time. The system comprises a radio frequency (RF) antenna for receiving the RF waves generated from the RF generator. A RF absorber comprising several closed loop circuits and a miniaturized thermometer are implanted inside the body close to the target tissue. A controller/optimizer regulates a frequency and a transmission timing of the RF waves based on the measured target tissue temperature. The thermometer, the RF absorber and the wireless transmitter are placed in a screw. The RF absorber is made of metal with RF absorption rate higher than that of biological tissues. A ultrasound energy is also used to treat the target area.
