CARTRIDGE FOR AIRFLOW SCRUBBING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A sorbent cartridge retention frame configured for use in an air scrubbing system comprising a first inlet side, a second outlet side, a plurality of compartments each configured to hold a solid-sorbent material, a plurality of respective walls arranged to form and separate the plurality of compartments, a first permeable membrane arranged to cover the first inlet side, a second permeable membrane arranged to cover the second outlet side. The first and/or second permeable membrane are configured for affixation to respective ends of the walls through a process of melting and solidification of the wall material such that wall material bonds with the membrane material.
Composite Filter Sock Anchors, Compost Filter Sock Assemblies and Method of Forming Same
A compost filter sock assembly comprising a filter sock and compost filter anchor system comprising one of i) an interconnected series of compost filter sock anchors alternating on the downstream and upstream side of the filter sock, wherein the compost filter sock anchors are interconnected with strapping between adjacent compost filter sock anchors on opposed sides of the filter sock such that the strap traverses the filter sock; or ii) a downstream wooden stake having a fin coupled thereto that extends laterally on both sides of the wooden stake.
Integrated grommet filter
A diesel engine aftertreatment system is disclosed. The aftertreatment system includes a diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) injection system including a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) device, a DEF tank connected to the SCR device, a DEF injection device installed in the tank, and an integrated grommet filter. The integrated grommet filter includes a grommet having a top gasket portion and a bottom cylindrical skirt portion. The cylindrical skirt portion is integrally connected to a sock filter. In an embodiment, the integral connection between the skirt portion and the sock filter includes an overlap and stitching. In an embodiment, the gasket is a star shaped gasket.
FILTRATION DEVICE FOR A DOWN-FLOW HYDROPROCESSING REACTOR
A filtration device for a down-flow catalytic hydroprocessing reactor is disclosed. The filtration device may be used in the petroleum and chemical processing industries in catalytic reactions of hydrocarbonaceous feedstocks in the presence of hydrogen, at an elevated temperature and pressure, to remove contaminants from mixed gas and liquid feedstreams to reactor catalyst beds. The filtration device may be provided as a horizontal tray installation at the top of a reactor, whereby feedstream liquid is passed through a filtration media in a radially inward direction from the wall of the reactor to the center of the filtration device and thereafter to the reactor catalyst bed. Among the benefits provided are the minimization of scale and small/fine particulates that reach the catalyst bed below the device, reduced pressure drop through the reactor, even when the filter is completely fouled, and the potential for added catalyst volume due to the reduced need to use catalyst grading materials.
