Water-purification cartridge and water purifier
Provided is a water-purification cartridge to be replaceably accommodated in an accommodating portion of a water purifier. The cartridge includes activated carbon that removes impurities from water, forms, within the water purifier, a raw water flow path through which raw water flows downstream without passing through the activated carbon and a water purification flow path through which raw water flows downstream while passing through the activated carbon, and further includes a buffer portion that is disposed, within the water purifier, at a position upstream of flow path switching valves for selecting discharge from the raw water flow path or discharge from the water purification flow path and downstream of the activated carbon and that cuts off a water hammer propagating from the flow path switching valves to the activated carbon.
Automated waste water recycling system using advanced electro-coagulation unit
An automated waste water treatment system includes a collection tank constructed to hold waste water, a first flow line connected to the collection tank to output the waste water from the collection tank, an electrocoagulation unit that receives the waste water and outputs the waste water as coagulated waste water to a flow line, a polymer dosage tank to provide a polymer dosage into the flow line where the polymer dosage mixes with the coagulated waste water to produce and output flocculated waste water. A clarifier connected to the flow line receives the flocculated waste water and produces sludge-free waste water and concentrated sludge, a series of filters to output filter-treated water, and an ultrafiltration system that receives filter-treated water and outputs ultrafiltration-treated water to a reverse osmosis system.

Water purification filter
Proposed is a water filter, including filter segments provided by dividing the filter into two or more sections composed of materials or densities that are same or different from each other, and a connection cap mounted between the filter segments, wherein the connection cap communicates with a filter flow path of an anterior filter segment, is closed to a filter flow path of a posterior filter segment, is provided with a closing part at a location between the anterior filter segment and a filter casing, and is provided with a connection cap flow path between the posterior filter segment and the filter casing, thereby allowing the water purified primarily by the anterior filter segment to be drained into the connection cap flow path and then to be discharged through the filter flow path of the posterior filter segment after being processed through a secondary water purification process.
FILTERING SYSTEM
Disclosed is a filtering system used in any pool filtrations, filtration of taps or building entrance hot and cold use water, filtration of city water before osmosis filtering devices, filtration of heating and cooling mechanical plant systems, and filtration of cooling water in hydro-electric power plants. The system provides for forming a vortex inside a filter by directing and increasing speed of filtered liquid and thus providing decreasing pressure on the filter surface and collection of filtered particulates in a particulate accumulation chamber. The system also provides for automatic cleaning of the filter by reverse flushing, without the need for dismantling, by differential pressure sensors based on rate of contamination.
Water filtration apparatus and process
The instant invention, in one aspect, provides a process for decontaminating water to remove contaminants, said process comprising passing contaminated water through a filter comprising a plurality of filtering elements capable of lowering the contaminants by at least 70%. In another aspect is provides a filtering unit comprising a plurality of filtering elements arranged in individual layers, said individual layers independently selected from brick chips, hemp fibers, mixture of hemp fibers and charcoal, agave, jute fibers, sand, filter paper, and gravel.
AUTOMATIC SAND FILTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER
A system includes a sand filter disposed within a tank. A pipe connected to the tank is configured to flow fluid in or out of the tank. The system includes a valve configured to selectively allow fluid to flow through the pipe and a flowmeter configured to measure a flow rate of fluid through the pipe. An automatic control unit includes one or more processors and a non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions executable by the one or more processors to perform operations including determining a debris accumulation status for the sand filter based in part on flow measurements from the flowmeter, and determining a failure status of the valve based in part on flow measurements from the flowmeter.
AUTOMATIC SAND FILTER BACKWASH CONTROLLER
A sand filter controller for monitoring and controlling an operation of a sand filter is provided. The sand filter controller includes a microcontroller that receives information about an operation of the sand filter from sensors installed in the sand filter, electrical relays that control air operated valves (AOVs) of the sand filter based on signals from the microcontroller, a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen connected to the microcontroller and that displays the operation of the sand filter, a position of each of the electrical relays, and a position of each of the AOVs, and a power supply that powers the microcontroller, the electrical relays, and the LCD screen. The sand filter is a single-housing-multi-stage water treatment sand filter.
SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR FILTERING WATER WITH ULTRAFINE GRANULAR MEDIA
A system for filtering water is described herein, the system comprising a granular filter media having an effective size of 0.05 mm to 0.4 mm. In some embodiments, a granular filter media described herein comprises a ceramic, a sand, a glass, a zeolite, a garnet, an anthracite coal, an activated carbon, an ilmentite, or any combination thereof. In some instances, a layer of granular filter media described herein has a flow rate from 2 to 12 gpm/ft.sup.2, and is capable of filtering out materials having an average size in three dimensions of 1 μm or larger without requiring any type of coagulation to alter the surface properties of the particles.
