DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EROSION CONTROL
A high strength environmental control device comprising a mesh container having at least one interior and one exterior surface is provided. The interior of the mesh container can comprise a filler material. The mesh container can comprise a plurality of yarns, including viscose fibers, interlaced together.
Animal waste filter
The present invention solves the problem of environmental pollution created by animal waste and converting animal waste to reusable water in the earth. The invention does this by a device that is capable of receiving animal waste and breaking down the waste into different components by the help of a decomposing catalyst such as a septic pack, filtering the resulting solution and finally producing a filtered liquid that enters the earth being cleansed by the process. The present invention comprises a filter device, a tank unit, a filter unit, a first opening positioned on a top surface of the tank unit; a second opening positioned on a bottom surface of the tank unit; wherein the tank unit is capable of receiving animal waste through the first opening; at least one hole at a bottom surface of the filter unit; wherein the tank unit is placed over the filter unit.
Filter backwash control system for a water or wastewater treatment system to conserve water during the filter backwash process
A water treatment filter backwash process control system, comprising a control system that receives filter level data and filter backwash turbidity data. The control system having a filter level set point, wherein the filter level set point corresponds to a desired filter media bed expansion. The control system having a filter backwash turbidity set point, wherein the control system controls the filter backwash process by, while monitoring the filter backwash turbidity, sending one or more output signals that are used to control a backwash inlet liquid flow in order to maintain a desired media bed expansion, and stop the backwash inlet liquid flow when the filter backwash turbidity set point is reached.

Enhanced shape support grid
A support grid assembly for use in a vessel. The support grid assembly includes panels each including a first wall including a media-supporting screen and a second wall to be supported by the vessel wall inner surface. A manifold is coupled to the panels and is in hydraulic communication with vessel outlet. The manifold and the panels permit fluid to flow through the screen in each panel, through the panels, into the manifold, and through the manifold to the outlet of the vessel, as well as in the reverse direction. At least a portion of the first wall may slope downward toward the manifold, and at least a portion of the second wall may form a bottom surface that is curved to substantially conform to a curvature of the vessel wall inner surface. The panels may be arranged in a circular configuration extending radially from the manifold.
Conical filtering device
The present invention relates to a conical filter used to filter storm water being directed into a catch basin and to filter water being pumped from a sediment pond.

Nuclear reactor using controlled debris to mitigate ECCS strainer pressure head loss
Controlled-debris elements inhibit the formation of a fibrous/particulate debris bed that unduly increases the pressure head loss through the perforated plates of strainers in a nuclear power plant emergency core cooling system. In a loss of cooling accident, pumps draw cooling water through the plates, which retain on their surfaces fibrous material in the circulating water to prevent it from reaching the pumps while permitting entrained particulate matter to pass through the perforations. The controlled-debris elements have a specific gravity substantially the same as the circulating water so they are entrained in the cooling water that is drawn toward the strainers and intimately intermix with the fibrous and particulate matter in the cooling water. The elements are configured to provide open structures in the bed formed on the plate surfaces to distribute fibers in the flow away from the surface and maintain cavities between the elements for the particulates.
Clearing device
The invention relates to a clearing apparatus (I), especially for clearing and/or maintaining of filter basins (7), consisting of at least one carrier (1), at least one undercarriage (2), at least one removal device (3), at least one driving device (4) and at least one pushing or guiding device (10), wherein the removal device (3) is situated in the front and/or before the undercarriage (2) and/or in front of an axle (21) of the undercarriage (2) in the travel and/or removal direction (a), the pushing or guiding device (10) is provided at the rear in the travel and/or removal direction (a), and wherein the removal device (3) comprises a platform (32) on which a drivable or driven removal means is circulating, such as a drivable or driven flexible circulating chain (31) and/or a flexible circulating belt (31), in order to remove material from a bottom (71) of the filter basin (7), transport it away and/or dispose of it.
Integrated unit for intake and pretreatment with local backwashing
A local backwashing apparatus 110 for a filtering system comprises an enclosure 119 having an open lower end, positionable above a surface of filter media 92 supported by a drainage layer 96. The enclosure is connected to a mechanical member (300, FIG. 6A) configured to force the enclosure into the filter media and release the force prior to the lower end of the enclosure contacting the drainage layer. The lower end of the enclosure being brought into contact with the drainage layer through a pressure differential between the interior and exterior of the enclosure. A pneumatic system such as an air pump, is in fluid communication with the upper part 127 of the enclosure and is configured to determine an air pressure therein. A pipe system connects the upper part of the enclosure with the pneumatic system and with a discharge structure 132. A control unit is connected to the pneumatic system. Also disclosed is a method of backwashing a filtering system. The backwashing apparatus may be used to pre-treat water.
